I stopped by Smashburger recently and was really impressed! The chicken sandwich was seriously one of the best I’ve had, perfectly crispy on the outside, juicy inside, and full of flavor without being greasy. The staff were incredibly friendly and made the whole experience smooth from the moment I walked in. The restaurant itself is spotless, the soda machines looked freshly cleaned (no sticky buttons or weird smells), and even the bathrooms were super clean, which is rare to find in most fast-food spots. The layout is open, bright, and modern, giving it a clean look. The atmosphere feels calm and chill, though a little on the cold side, not uncomfortable, just not overly cozy.
Overall, it’s a great place to grab a meal if you want something quick but still high-quality. Definitely would come back again!

Call this morning to do a pick up order and Matt pick up the call starting with a bad negative attitude. Almost denying to make the order ” agg I guess im not that busy so I can take your order ” as I stating to order, I could hear him complaining on the phone all time, then he ask for my credit card, I said can I pay it at my arrival because im driving, which he said ” if you don’t give me your credit card now I will 100% cancel the order ” I try to talk and he again said is now or I won’t take your order. He didnt even let me pay ..so I decided to cancel my order because at this time I don’t know if MATT will handle my order with care or if he would spill on my food.
I definitely understand you need a credit card to place the order, but that should be said before starting to order and not with that terrible attitude

Matt and Brianna at the Wantagh location were absolutely outstanding. From the moment I walked in, they were friendly, professional, and extremely helpful. They took the time to answer all my questions and made the entire experience smooth and easy. It’s rare to come across people who genuinely care about making sure everything is done right, but Matt and Brianna clearly take pride in what they do. If you’re going to the Wantagh location, you’re in great hands with them. Highly recommend.

Smash burger in Wantagh is more than just a quick burger spot. Matt made the experience. His funny and light demeanor made it feel like i was at home eating my dad’s home made burgers. The customer service was incredible and obviously the food was delicious. If you haven’t tried this is your sign.

At the beginning of the visit, the servers were not attentive, and when I attempted to get their attention, they appeared to ignore me. After I went up to them directly and asked for assistance, the service sort of improved. There were also small details that could be improved, such as an empty ketchup bottle left on the table. The sandwich itself was good, however, the smash fries were extremely oily, which detracted from the meal. It was missing jalapeños that I paid extra for, which was disappointing.

Always had good experiences at this location and the food has always been very good. Recently, they no longer offer turkey smashburger but now have chicken smashburger. Tried it several times and sometimes it can be as satisfying as their other burgers, but still better than some other restaurants. Most restaurants don’t even offer chicken burgers. Flavor was good, but sometimes it tasted dry and sometimes it’s juicy, maybe it depends on the cook. Also tried their veggie burger, which is much better than I expected. Service was good and staff were friendly. Restaurant was clean and somewhat organized.

Actually my first time at a Smashburger – I was pleasantly surprised… the burgers were pretty tasty! Honestly, the high pricing at these burger joints always bothers me – especially when they don’t come with fries. Spending $40 on two burgers, a side of tots and a large drink is ludicrous! Again, the burgers were good and tasted fresh. Visually pleasing as well. Smash-tots were actually the star of the show… a garlic rosemary flavored, petite potato puff of crispy love – that’s what we’re dealing with here. Location is clean, dining inside or out. I’d recommend if you don’t mind a high price meal.
**UPDATE** Had a last minute late night meal here and it was again pretty decent. Had the double burnt ends burger and it was a lot better than I expected it to be. Still unhappy that I spent about $70 on 5 burgers; but it was better than faster food.

I usually don’t write reviews, but this place was amazing! The staff was kind and attentive. The food was excellent and you can’t beat the price. For $12 you cant even get a side of fries at most places, but I got both a delicious burger and fries here today. Would highly recommend this place. 10/10!
