Online it says it was open and I called prior to coming no answer. I drove 18 minutes up here for some soul food just to find out they are not open and that’s frustrating especially because I had my son with me. If the hours were updated that would be great.

Delicious food & generous serve size. The menu is a single sheet of paper with limited choices and best described by other people as homestyle southern cooking. Only disappointment was it was served in a takeout container with flimsy plastic cutlery. Kinda hard to cut my beef tips

What a great hidden treasure! You know how everyone says (when on vacation) to find those spots where the locals eat to discover authentic food at great prices? Well look no further….this is one of those places for Peoria. A classy soul food restaurant with a relaxing atmosphere and absolutely delicious classics. A special mention for the whole fried catfish, cole slaw and the baked beans. Really, don’t sleep on the baked beans… you will thank me later. 🙂 The staff was very friendly and the owner/ chef was kind enough to stop by our booth and thank us for stopping in. Overall, more folks need to discover this eatery.
