So I was working on the AC next door and then smell was killing me. I have been craving a “good” burger for a while now. Bam! Here it is. Really good and the fries were awesome too.

What a great place to eat in the middle of Lakeside. The staff is among the best our family have met. Jason was extremely kind and very attentive. We can’t wait to come back. Thanks for a great experience!

I was told this was a great place to eat and to try the Slack House Chicken Sandwich. I went there at the beginning of the summer and they were out of chicken. I went again today and when we arrived, it was after 11, and the door was still locked. My co-worker called, no answer, we gave it a few minutes and tried again, they answered and let us in. Went to order and shocking…chicken wouldn’t be available for another hour! Ended up getting a burger with under cooked fries along with rude staff. Not impressed and won’t be back.

Did some walking around the beautiful village of Lakeside then had lunch at the slack house. I had a Slack House Burger on a pretzel bun and fries that were so soft perfect they were begging for a douse of vinegar. Great service, reasonable prices. Definitely going again.

Ordered from there on 06/29/21 check #101 at 6:26pm. Burger was not goo at all. Spongy frozen patty with no flavoring. If you are going to serve burgers on your menu at $8.50 – $13, it better be fresh meat with good flavoring. Ordered a bean burger on a pretzel bun with bacon added. It did not come on a pretzel bun and there was no bacon. BLT’s were marginally acceptable. Fries were good. Very disappointed. We were expecting better based on how they advertise.

Terrible food, service. My burger was uncooked and tasted like the meat was rotten. When I requested a different entree I was told I’d have to purchase another one.

Delicious Slack House Burger and their hand cut fries are out of this world. Can’t forget the handmade Milkshakes for dessert or drink with your dinner. The staff is very friendly and doing an amazing job during these very unprecedented times. Support this local Small business that is a great addition to the Lakeside/Marblehead Peninsula.

Honestly super disappointing! A joint that predominantly serves burgers should pride themselves in the quality of meat that they serve. Instead I got a spongy, overcooked, dry, flavorless frozen beef pattie which was pre cooked and sitting in a tray next to the flat top. FRESH GROUND BEEF PEOPLE, it makes a far better product. On a positive note the atmosphere was very welcoming, and the concepts behind the types of burgers served is solid. I would be more than happy to pay 13 dollars for the same burger I got (slack house burger) if it came with a fresh hand formed pattie. Fries are fresh and tasteful.

Could have got a better and cheaper burger at Burger King honestly. The burger was soooo dry and bland, and the fries were too thick so they ended up being undercooked. It looked like there were just a bunch of kids working in the back today as they forgot a couple items and put stuff on my friends burger that she asked to not have on it. A little disappointed for how pricey they were. A CAN OF POP IS $2, BRING YOUR OWN DRINKS
