I originally saved this place for breakfast but we ended up coming for dinner first. Drinks were awesome. The seasonal autumn mimosa was great. My boyfriend’s steak was perfect. I got the broiled salmon but it was more like boiled without the R. It really lacked flavor and was a little tough with no signs of being broiled. It said it was served with rice which i don’t like but was going to give to my boyfriend instead. But then found out after that they were serving it with mashed potatoes instead. Which i would have loved to know before I would have just upgraded to loaded mash. I got my salmon with shrimp and ended up eating that instead of the salmon. It really needed lemon or something but our server gave us our food right after we were served or salad and didn’t come back til it was time for the check so I didn’t get the chance to get any lemon for the salmon to eat it there. Breakfast was really good when we went back. Eggs were cooked perfect. The Hawaiian roll french toast would be better if they used the Hawaiian sliced bread instead. The rolls were a little too thick for the small amount of batter so it seemed more like a cinnamon roll without frosting. The bacon was a very generous serving size. I’d definitely come back and try something else though it was good overall.

We had bacon cheeseburger, chicken stripes and seasoned fries. Burger and fries were really great. Chicken stripes were average. Clean and great happy service.

The breakfast menu offers a wide variety of choices. They are all excellent. Dining outside, early to mid morning, is delightful. The air is fresh and the view of the mountains is wonderful. This is a very fine dining experience.

We chose Slack for dinner before heading to the lake for the Shake the Lake fireworks show. Spirits were high already but this small restaurant really did add to it. We took patio seating, which required a quick wipe down from the scattered showers earlier in the day. The outdoor fire pit was a good touch but really the most atmospheric point of fixation was the big beautiful mountains being unshrouded from the clouds as the skies cleared.
Our waitress did a good job. Although we did go almost 30 minutes without a water refill, she brought a pitcher over on the next revolution so I didn’t ding for that.
I ordered the ribeye, but after she suggested the prime rib that had been smoked all day long I changed my order. My wife stuck with the ribeye and the kids got fish n chips and chicken bacon salad.
The monstrous 19 oz cuts came out juicy and cooked with skill. The smoke on the PR was delicious. Everyone agreed I ordered the best food. The horseradish cream and au jus was good. I kind of wish the cream would have had a bit more bite.
The ribeye was cooked medium, just the way she loves it, with a nice slight crisp searing on it. Both steaks were very juicy and the only point of criticism I can really offer is there was a lot of fat on them. But it didn’t bother me because the cuts were big and we really got to eat our fill.
The salads that came out were good. Blue cheese dressing needed some actual crumble in it, but it was nice and thick, properly coating the vegetables in my salad when I dipped them.
Baked potatoes were done just right, nice and soft and came with extra whipped butter as requested, and they were salted the right amount.
We ended up taking leftovers with us. The prices weren’t terrible and dinner for 4 only cost about $120. I think we’ll be back next time we are down in Joseph!

Great place, stopped in for a later breakfast during labor day weekend. We had the biscuits and gravy, a breakfast burrito, and a scramble. The food was tasty but I am not sure if they were slammed (there were a lot of open tables) and the service was rushed and slow, they were hurried at the table and slow stopping back. There was one server who was watching everyone’s tables. I wish j had caught them at their best, and saw what that mean.

New name and management has continued to impress! One of the more popular restaurants in the heart of the city – we actually used them for an event using their event space that is really cute for small parties. . . They provided the drinks and charcuterie board for a reasonable price, can’t wait to see the more amenities they will add later to make this an awesome hangout spot, event space not just some restaurant.

The place is laid out weird, dirty looking, hot. Overstaffed with loud employees and no one else eating there. The crispy chicken salad I ordered was hilarious. One small, thin and dry piece of chicken and a crumbled, burnt piece of bacon… all served on a plastic frisbee or prison plate. YUMMY! Regardless, I am disgusted, sick of mediocre and spending for something more. GROSS.

The waitress was rude and snobby from the moment we walked onto the property. A group of nine, we ended up leaving and going to Enterprise to eat at the Range Rider. Better food, better prices and way better service!!
