Really good chicken fried steak and great service. Their ice tea was really good too. The dining room is very simple and the ice machine is pretty loud but it was a very pleasant experience nonetheless. About as down home Texas country as it gets. Highly recommend.

Really surprised at the quality of the food. Would definitely recommend. I ordered the Quesadilla and expected just a standard Tex-Mex quesadilla. What I got was a fresh approach to the classic dish that was by far the best Quesadilla I’ve ever had. Looking forward to trying more from the menu in the future.

We came in tonight and it was really busy. But the waitress we had I did not catch her name. Blonde hair and nose piercing. I just wanted everyone to know she was fantastic. For being as busy as she was she kept checking on us to see if everyone was doing good. 10/10 thank you so much! I hope this gets back to you! Keep doing a great job!

We drove all the way from Abilene. Now granted it’s not far,however gas is already expensive. So was Skeets. Food was ok,not as good as it was here. Service.,was terrible . Not worth the trip. This place is a $$$. Not coming back. Sorry just being truthful. How they’ve stayed in business is beyond me. Never going back.

I have been in 6 different States over the last year and sure missed Texas food. Skeets has 4 locations in and around Abilene. The location in Merkel was very clean, service was great as was the food. It was also a bargain. A large chicken fried steak, loaded baked potato, roll and small salad, $10.

The food and the setting is fantastic. The waitress was a little preoccupied and was not very attentive. We wanted desert but was never asked and I had to get up to get my own to go box.
