This place was SO cute. Great wine and amazing service by Christopher. We did a wine tasting which they slightly changed for two of us who had preferences over white or red, which was very kind. We learned a lot and enjoyed multiple kinds. We also got the ultimate board which was perfect to sustain the six of us. Highly recommend for a nice, classy experience highlighting local Frederick and MD food and wine.

Our first time visiting Simple Theory and it was perfect. Our server Alex was very knowledgeable and took great care of us! We had a group of 9 and shared the ultimate charcuterie board + a variety of wines. Everything was delicious. We will def be back!

The wine is excellent, the venue is chic and inviting, and the staff knowledge is impressive. They have been so accomodating to me, I will continue to come here every chance I get. You must try it!!

This place is the greatest secret in downtown Frederick. The wine is outstanding and the staff is so nice. The atmosphere is calm and chic. I’m already a wine club member 🙂 They could offer a little bit more of a food selection and change up what they have a bit more, but I think they’re working on that! And this is not a restaurant. Just cheese/meats/ snacks. I do love that the food is local and tastes amazing!

Such a lovely, quiet spot, especially for being in downtown. I’m always excited when I get a chance to go here. Wish I lived a little closer. Their wines are incredible (I particularly love the Albariños), and the staff is always enthusiastic, friendly, and knowledgeable. Definitely recommend doing the tasting if it’s your first time, it’s a great experience!

We really enjoyed our visit tonight! The wine is wonderful, the atmosphere is great and the food from serendipity and the music were such good additions. We enjoyed building our own charcuterie plate. We can’t wait to go back and try more of their wines. I definitely recommend for anyone visiting the area or looking for a nice night out in Down Town Frederick!

Simple Theory Wine is a hidden gem in downtown Frederick that you absolutely must visit! The staff are incredible—welcoming, attentive, and impressively knowledgeable about their wines. The vibes here are amazing—comfortable, inviting, and perfect for relaxing or catching up with friends. This was my second visit, and it was just as fantastic as the first. I can’t wait to come back again!

The wine selections were wonderful. This was my second time and I’ve not been disappointed. Staff is knowledgeable, courteous and friendly. Charcuterie servings are a bit light in size but taste delicious nonetheless.
