I haven’t been there for a while. I called to order couple of pupusas bean with cheese. When I got there I still had to wait. When there was only one person talking to the lady. When I asked for my pupusas, she told me to wait and continue talking to her friend. I was looking around the place is very dirty, I don’t even want to imagine how dirty the kitchen was. Anyways in total I waited 10 minutes more and on top of that, they were more expensive then other places I usually go. When I got home this is what she gave me, as shown in the picture burned pupusas the back was even worse and the pupusas were all stuck together. She didn’t even bother to put nothing in between them. Never again will I be going that place. I don’t recommend it to anyone either. At this time, everything is so expensive, I’m expecting my food is what I pay for!

Everything made here is excellent. The pupusa are the best around. This woman is amazing and so is the resturant. It looks like there was a fire on the other side of her building, I hope her and the resturant are ok, and will be back in buisness soon.

Every time I go, It’s hands down the best pupusas around! The mother and son who I think do all the cooking, couldn’t be any nicer. One time I left with a take out order, not two minutes later I recieved a call, apologizing me they forgot toput the salsa in the bag that goes with the pupusas’s. They seem to love what they do, and it clearly shows in their food. Five Star’s!

Ordered through door dash. Arrived when order was expected to be ready and no one was there. Instead there was a sign of the door that she will be back at 5. Waited until 5:15 and she never came.

Don’t be confused by the big old sign that says Roxanne’s (I think that’s the name) Pupuseria or by the fluorescent open sign that’s not always on. Sylvia’s is open 7 days a week and you should definitely stop by! Sylvia greets you at the door with a bright smile and welcomes you into a small dining room. It feels more like you’re getting ready to have dinner with your grandma. Sylvia makes everything to order so don’t be surprised if it takes 15-20 minutes. I assure you it’s worth the wait. These were the best pupusas I have had (I’ve had homemade and from many restaurants). They are just the right amount of crispy and soft and incredibly delicious. The chicken in tomato sauce with rice and beans was also fantastic. So much flavor but not salty. I couldn’t choose between the mixed pupusa (beans, cheese and pork) and the chicken and cheese pupusa for a favorite. I’ll have to order both when we go back again. The service was great, the food was outstanding and the portions were very large for the price. If you’ve never had a papusa, you should stop by and try these! A pupusa is like a thick corn tortilla stuffed with cheese, beans and/or meat. Top them with the curtido (homemade slaw) and tomato sauce and dig in. I was so excited, I forgot to take a picture before I started eating.

Was craving pupusas and where i am currently they have no good options. Went into the city for other business and while there stopped here and honestly was surprised by the actual seating but the pupusas were exactly how me and the wife remember them and she is half Salvadorian so kudos to the young man that helped us. Location needs improvement as far as updating and expanding but otherwise would have been 5 Stars.

No one makes as great pupusas in Central Jersey like Silvias. They’re cheesy and a good amount of pork in them. I like how they have a variety of them. They also have beef soup which is also good!
