I picked up a cake yesterday 4/13/23 first off. It was a football cake and the field number not correct ( 10-70) second the cake was not made as I requested: I wanted buttercream frosting and chocolate ganache filling as we agreed on. I got a whipped icing and pudding in the middle. On top of that the cake was so we r that when we c it into it it was soupy and you couls see the liquid sopping out of it. I do not recommend this place at all. Absolutely atrocious. No response on my complaint. No one ate the cake. What an absolute mess.

Last cake I order from here. Pick up was scheduled at 2 didn’t receive until 2:45 and cake wasn’t decorated how we ordered. Went to cut it at the birthday party and it basically fell apart, and was a bit embarrassing. Our party host went to cut the cake (rectangular) , and the cake was to be half vanilla and half chocolate. It was split long ways and caused confusion and then had vanilla added 2 inches where the chocolate was supposed to be(other side not shown in photo). To say the least it was very disappointing and embarrassing. Another experience I had was a baby shower cake that I had placed the order. They didn’t have it ready and wasn’t ready until hours after party had started. Shouldn’t have returned then.

I have to commend Silvia’s Cakes. We went to a wedding on 4/23/23 & the cake was divine. It was the most moist, delicious melt in your mouth cake and frosting I have ever eaten for a wedding cake. The taste sent all the taste buds to a place of amazement. The design and set up was beautiful .

I ordered a 3 tier cake for a function. Discussed the cake with Silvia’s sister and was given a price & receipt that said “Lemon, Lemon, Lemon” representing flavors of 3 tiers. Later when I returned for pick up the cake was 2 tiers. Silvia’s sister crossed off one Lemon on her receipt. No one called to discuss this with me. Their problem resolution was awful. No apology or acknowledgment of the error and after much conversation one girl says, “Look you want it or not?” The two tier cake was beautiful but their professionalism and problem resolution was awful. I needed the cake right then, so I took it, but i strongly feel if I matched their language & culture I would have been treated with more respect. After many requests for accommodation for their error all that was compensated for was $20. Maybe I”ll return if I can change my culture & learn their language. Not likely.

I ordered the cake for my sister’s wedding and 2 dozen assorted cupcakes. The cake was delicious! The service was amazing! They had it delivered on time for a early afternoon wedding. I will get all my special occasion cakes from there from now on. Thank you to the young lady who was working the service counter. She answered all of my questions. Superior customer service!

This is now the “GO TO” cake shop. I’ve been looking for a place in VA that made good, delicious cakes, that weren’t dry and hard, and who actually knew how to make a Dominican cake. I have found it! Their cake was so moist, not too sweet, and was decorated perfectly. I couldn’t have been happier and greatful. I ordered the strawberry filled Dominican cake. A must!

Staff friendly, helpful and knowledgeable must have been the environment. You would be hard pressed to walk out of this business with anything but a smile on your face. Nice job ladies and the smell of the cakes will make you gain weight. If your dieting maybe wait a week then start the diet.
