WOW! What an absolutely fantastic dining experience at Sigri Restaurant in Winnipeg! From the moment we started eating, everything was just PERFECT. The food was incredibly delicious — not overly spicy, beautifully balanced, and so different in taste. The Paneer Makhmali Tikka was melt-in-the-mouth soft, and the Paneer Butter Tikka Masala was rich, creamy, and packed with amazing flavor. The stuffed naan and butter naan were fresh, soft, and perfectly buttery — every single bite was a treat! ✨

A HUGE shout-out to Kiran for the exceptional service! She was absolutely wonderful — super friendly, attentive, and her recommendations were spot on. Everything she suggested turned out to be exactly as she described, which made our experience even more enjoyable.

Truly one of the best dining experiences we’ve had. Outstanding food, top-notch service, and a warm atmosphere! Highly, highly recommended — we can’t wait to come back again! ❤️

Firstly, Tarunjeet served me excellently. Friendly and professional, always greeting everyone with a smile and patiently explains what variety of options us customers can get.

As a chipotle and chicken platter lover from all sorts of cuisines, getting to try Sigri’s Indian BBQ version of a chicken platter was a real treat for my taste buds.

If you’re unsure of what to get you can try what I got: curry lime rice, half and half chicken tikka and malai chicken, I recommend a little bit of the masala queso (unless you like a lot of queso), choole chickpeas, topped off with fresh onion cilantro and cucumber radish salad and mango cilantro chutney.

Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoy trying out their food!

I tried it for the first time after coming across it on Instagram, and decided to check it out while I was in New Jersey. I went with the bowl featuring sigri rice and chicken tikka, and it turned out to be incredibly flavorful and surprisingly generous in portion. I’d definitely recommend it—not just for those familiar with these flavors, but for anyone who enjoys good food. Keep up the great work.

A very clean and very well decorated little spot if you want to eat something Indian and also not a lot of that. I would say it is Indian Chipotle.
U can get a bowl or platter and get all Indian delicacies.
The ambience is super cool and service is great too.

Absolutely Disappointed – Not Worth the Drive or the Money

I drove 22 miles just to try this place based on all the glowing reviews — what a complete waste of time and money. I ordered two bowls with double proteins, and honestly, I have no idea what kind of Indian food this was supposed to be. It tasted nothing. If this food deserves a 5-star rating, then I must have been born yesterday.

Both my wife and I couldn’t even get through 10% of our meals — we literally threw it away. It had zero flavor, no spice, no aroma, nothing that even remotely resembles the richness of Indian food.

I spent $42, and while I understand that’s a fair price these days, the quality was nowhere close to acceptable. This was not just disappointing — it was borderline inedible.

I seriously question the authenticity of the positive reviews. If you’re looking for real Indian taste, do yourself a favor and skip this place. I absolutely do not recommend it.

Nice atmosphere—the restaurant is clean and well-kept, and the customer service was pretty good. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted, which was a nice touch.

That said, the food was just okay. It doesn’t feel like authentic Indian cuisine, and the portion sizes could definitely be better. One thing that really bothered me was the topping policy—you only get one included, and if you want more, there’s an extra charge. I paid $2.49 for extra chicken on the side, and honestly, it was a waste. The portion was so small, and the chicken itself was just average.

This spot used to be Mollaga Indian Grill, which was also Americanized but had way better food. The portions were generous, and you could get all the toppings without an extra charge. Sigri feels like a weaker version of Mollaga.

Overall, the restaurant has a nice vibe and friendly service, but the food quality, small portions, and extra charges make it a bit disappointing. I really wanted to like it more, but it just didn’t hit the mark for me.

Bonus: ♿️ Accessibility is no issue here as it’s located on the ground floor, making it easy for everyone to enter and exit the store.

The food was pretty good. I would describe it as a fast food version of Indian food. It was really good. They samosas are so big and flavorful, definitely try the paneer. The lamb was tasty and the sauce had a kick but wasn’t super spicy. The mango lassi was good too, tasted like a mango smoothie. The place is clean, organized and just has a wonderful atmosphere. The man at the counter was very kind and helpful. This place was a good experience!

I wad at the restaurant to pick up the Doordash order that I was assigned. I wad not there as a diner. However, I wound up getting two veggie samosa for the drive. They were excellent snacks. Taranjut served me my order. He was super kind, patient and generous. He made the Doordash experience seamless and he made the samosa snack for me ready to go quickly with full flavor. Go there and have your taste buds satisfied.

This is one of the best place to pickup grub quickly and go on your way. The ambience of this place is great. The owner “Om” has built a great place and paid meticulous details and created a nice place. All of the people who work here sincerely cater to the customers’ satisfaction. The chutneys and sauces here are prepared everyday from scratch and brings so much flavor to the food. Their hot sauce is the best sauce I have had. The flavor profile of their sauces are out of the world and the reason for that is evident from how fresh and from scratch they may then everyday.

Shout out to “Tarunjit Singh” who caters to the customers with love and sincerity and remembers your preference and tweaks your food as per your preference . Truly amazing place, food and culture.

We were excited to try this place. We ordered a bowl and a sandwich. We were told 10 minutes for the fried chicken for the sandwich which we didn’t mind. We were the only two customers there by then. The chicken was BURNT. The fact that they would even sell it to us that way is sad. We saw people that ordered ahead of us get chicken that was perfectly fried. The guy that made the bowl also tried to charge us again after we already paid. I won’t be returning. He did let me try multiple sauces which is why I tipped although I typically don’t for takeout.
