Staff have terrible attitudes. Busy, but can’t seem to handle that. Food is decent. Not much for a celiac, but that’s ok.

I was quite underwhelmed with the whole experience. The food was okay. Portions are decent and will fill you up but it is bland. The food is entirely overpriced for the quality, but I justify it due to location. The servers weren’t kind, but also not rude. It took a while to get seated and they were inattentive throughout. I don’t blame the servers entirely as they were busy, but definitely not crowded. It was all just meh and a 2.5 rating in my books.

Great meal for a break after hitting the slopes all morning. The portions are huge and got the spot!

Low quality food for high prices. The staff was friendly enough, yet next time we’re here we’ll hit up the cafeteria instead.

Sunday afternoon lunch; couldn’t complain if I tried. May I recommend the chicken tortillas soup? Nick & Nate behind the bar like a 1-2 combo

Folks waiting for tables got seated expeditiously.

This place has always been over priced, expected because it is at a ski resort… but at least it used to have a decent menu and food. Recently the menu has shrunk (but not the prices) and the quality has gone WAY down. We used to eat here every weekend that we were at Monarch, now we would prefer to go downstairs and eat the cafeteria food which is almost as expensive but at least edible and even some what enjoyable. Side note.. my husband, son and I have been coming to Monarch for the past 9 years and live about an hour away so we have been here over a hundred times so we do know what we’re talking about when writing this review.

People were rude. They assumed our family was not eating. As soon as we walked in they said you can’t be here unless you order food and the tone was not great. Incredibly rude way to greet people. They should’ve asked how can we serve you some food first. Covid restriction are ridiculous. One of my kids was on the ski hill and they would not serve us unless he was sitting with us. Management needs to rethink hospitality as it is not existent here. How do you expect to survive with this kind of behavior. I don’t recommend. We come from an open hospitable state that is thriving. Don’t want to come back here again. We have found the people in Colorado to be very helpful and kind so this unusual.

Food was delicious and the service was good. We had to wait a bit to get seated, but we’re still in a pandemic – so it’s totally understandable! We love skiing at Monarch, and the Sidewinder Saloon is a great place to get a bite.

Great food, better people watching. Bloody Mary’s are amazing and the green chili is spicy! Nachos are loaded too! Best place to grab a bite when skiing at monarch. Staff can act overworked but that’s because they are on weekends during lunchtime. No better ski area restaurant in colorado while skiing. Food usually comes out quick!
