I ordered a pork ramen. The soup is good and 2 slices of pork are very thin. Lunch time is very busy on the weekend.

Love the ramen there. Plus the noodle bowls ( non single use) are BACK. Go support a place that tries to be more sustainable!

Friendly counter service. Ramen light on toppings. But poor food safety service, as I found a piece of torn plastic bag at the bottom of my bowl.

Vegetable Shumi Ramen was delicious and very creamy, they were very friendly when we arrived and were happy to answer any questions we had.

It’s not Japanese styled ramen for sure. Living in Japan, real ramen is known to have strong flavors. This place is light on taste and a slightly healthier option. It’s more suitable for a daily eat, in my opinion. It’s not a bad place. I definitely didn’t feel guilty afterwards! It’s located in a warehouse. To my understanding and from the surrounding, it was formerly an abandoned warehouse. It definitely gives it a urban feel. I like the atmosphere.

The Black Garlic Oil Miso ramen is excellent! I wouldn’t call this soup healthy as there is a good amount of grease in there, but adding some soy sauce and chili peppers does help add some depth – by underseasoning, they are letting you season to taste. Luckily, the soup is hot enough, so the next time around, I’ll ask them to undercook the noodles a bit (harder). Shumi is in a warehouse that has been converted into a food court, so there is no table service (optional tipping). For non-authentic ramen, this bowl was excellent. Only the noodles were lacking, but I think that can be corrected by undercooking a bit.

It’s located in a building with other food places like a food court. Very hip and modern. I got the black sesame oil garlic and enjoyed it. Super oily. Presentation is very good.

Wow – we used to love this place and their fried chicken ramen. Like most places, they’ve raised their prices by 2-3$ per item likely due to covid and inflation. That being said, they’ve also reduced their serving sizes in the process as well. We ordered two fried chicken miso ramens and spent near $40. I laughed when I opened the lid to my soup. It’s almost disgraceful how little they give you considering the price tag. And forgot adding items like corn or extra noodle…that costs an arm and a leg and between the two, portions were basically the same (my husband ordered extra toppings and I ordered just a standard ramen. There was no difference in the size of what was given) Quality and quantity has gone down and we won’t be returning sadly. Hoping things improve but I doubt it

The food is ok. I ordered a ramen and a side of karage for $26. The karage comes with one small packet of mayonnaise. I asked for an extra packet and they said no I can only have one. How much is the mayo pack worth? 5 cents? Ridiculous. I live nearby and I’ve frequented this business since it opened, won’t be back.

Solid ramen with pretty good toppings. The soft boiled egg was on point and the black garlic ramen broth was flavourful. The highlight of the soup is definitely the noodles. I don’t know how they made their dough, but it’s a punch you in the face mouthful of amazing flavor.
