Social Profile:

Shrimp ‘N Stuff Restaurant has affordable, delicious seafood dinners, po-boys, gumbo and salads and have been an island tradition since opening our doors. We take our reputation for freshness, flavor and value seriously and work hard to ensure that every meal that is served meets our high standards of excellence. Our gumbo is made from scratch in our back kitchen. We peel, devein and bread every shrimp you eat. In fact, we bread all of our seafood ourselves from the shrimp to the oysters, to the crab ball (yum yum) to the fish. We make all of our sauces in house too. You have to try the remoulade sauce – you’ll be asking for more. The Shrimp Salad is made several times a day to keep up with the demand. I think you get the picture!

Fried seafood, hushpuppies & gumbo fill the menu at this cozy seafood spot with a shady patio.

First time for me to give all 5 ⭐ to any business. I’m not a big fan of seafood , at all.. With that being said , this place is the BOMB! The shrimp gumbo is hot and delicious. Has plenty of shrimp in it and plenty of flavor. I’ve had the coconut shrimp and plain fried shrimp. The plain shrimp is awesome. I don’t like coconut at all , but the shrimp was good with their (marmalade looking) dipping sauce. The place itself is nice and cozy. Friendly staff. Has a covered patio with fans and plenty of shade to you can enjoy eating outside. And I think they even have an upper deck to go eat on. I will definitely be making trips here for gumbo. This gumbo is probably the best I’ve tried , even during my time in Louisiana…. It’s GOOD ! And it was only $10 for a pint of gumbo and a drink…. You CANT beat that deal……

So this is one of the local minimalist awesome seafood places. Order the eight piece coconut shrimp, with 3 boudain balls hush puppies for both sides, with a cup of the shrimp gumbo as the $3 add-on side. There is no atmosphere. There’s a room for you to sit and rub all of the awesome seafood on your face. Great value for a seafood hankering.

This place is exceptional. The food is fresh, quality, clean and very very delicious. The customer service is beyond amazing. Cody had a beaming smile the whole time and was extremely delightful. He took his time and explained everything on the menu as well as gave recommendations. They forgot my son’s cookie for his kids meal so when told they gave him two instead. The environment is so welcoming and home-like but just a little small. Overall a great experience.

Shrimp and stuff is yet another high-quality reasonably priced with outstanding service restaurant located either off the beaten path or in a neighborhood. It’s a perfect example when someone wants seafood done, right and don’t want it at a familiar franchise. Shrimp and stuff as the name indicates offer a white variety of shrimp – flavors, spices, etc., but they also offer some pretty good fried catfish. The only part of that overall meal I wasn’t impressed with with the boiled potatoes but that can be easily forgiven given the complimentary soft drinks provided during the meal. I will forever be impressed by the local restaurant and the high-quality food they produce. It’s small and has limited direct parking, but in the middle of the summer when the crowds are lined up at the seawall restaurants, you’ll be glad you tried something a little different.

Food was definitely very fresh but the breading was bland. They did offer generous condiments and there was absolutely no wait times, I do recommend the catfish that was tasty. Also their patio is super awesome.

My buddy and I stopped here for lunch and little did we know we we’re in for a treat. Place was very clean, servers we’re super nice and gave you a description of everything on the menu. Give you more than enough food which was fresh and hot, one meal could feed two people. The manager even came out to greeted us and gave key lime pie on the house which was delicious super nice guy. Catfish platters are out of this world. I highly recommend 10 out of 10 I will go again.

This shrimp poboy was AMAZING!! It’s too bad that this restaurant drifted away from their local community roots. My grandmother and I would come eat at this place frequently, the local high school kids would run straight to this shop for lunch. It seems like this shop decided cater to the tourists now… this oh so lovely basket with a drink costed $20!! And the drink was separate from the basket combo!! While this sandwich is amazingly delicious it is definitely NOT worth $20, or $17 if you don’t purchase a drink. What a bummer!

great cuisine The coconut shrimp lived up to expectations. Although dense, husky puppies were tasty. Good, perfectly cooked grab balls. By the time I arrived at the house, the sweet potato fries were a little soggy, but the flavor was excellent. The dipping sauces were all excellent. I have nothing but positive things to say and no complaints. The atmosphere is laid-back, and the staff is friendly.

Local seafood done right! Low-key establishment that focuses on the food. The catfish Po boy was amazing. The fish was literally falling apart. And you almost couldn’t see the sub roll underneath the filet. Everything was delicious. We will definitely be going back.

Shrimp and Stuff is the spot to go in Galveston. We had the combo plate with fish and shrimp, fish tacos, and shrimp po boy. It was all on point. The corn meal batter on the fish was perfect. The po boy was by far the best I have had. The sweet potato fries were yumo. The staff was friendly and with great attitude. I can’t say enough good things about this place and we will come back next time we are in Galveston. Food was reasonably priced. Keep up the good work and great service.
