It all began in 1993, when two local boys in Gulf Shores, Alabama decided to open up a casual family-focused seafood restaurant on the Gulf Coast. The idea was to create a restaurant where people would feel welcome to be themselves, families could afford to dine out together and strangers would leave as friends. Coastal vacationers demanded that Shrimp Basket expand to provide this incredible seafood value to those unable to be at the beach year round. Today, we’re happy to offer locations across the Southeast for family and friends to feel a part of the beach, dine and enjoy delicious seafood! At the Shrimp Basket, our goal is to make sure that you – our friends – leave happy and satisfied after every visit.

My Military Retired Fishing Buddies/Dear Friends & I went to the Shrimp Basket to eat dinner. This was our very first visit to this restaurant. We came down for a fishing excursion & relaxation. We order the seafood gumbo, fish basket, seafood platter & blackened red fish w/all the the sides that accompany the dishes. From the first taste of the gumbo, we knew we came to the right place. Andrew was an excellent server. He was very attentive, courteous & kind. The entire staff was very friendly. Everything taste so delicious, including all the sides ie coleslaw, hush puppies, fries, tartar sauce. They give you a lot. We also fell in love with the key lime pie. Great food & service. Thank you Andrew.

First time here and mourghan was very attentive. Food was amazing especially the cheese grits! If you like something light and yummy please get the blackened white fish platter. Their manager Amber also came by to check on us which is an A+.

I enjoyed the friendly service and how attentive they were. I had a combo plate had blackened shrimp and Cajun flounder with a side of collard greens, hushpuppies was included. The shrimp and fish was well seasoned as well as the collards. I will be back.

I had a spectacular time at this place. The inside looked so cool and the staff were so welcoming and also really cool and fun. My server was Andrew and he was very attentive and so polite and informative! The food was great and they offered me the drink special, which was a St. Patrick’s Day drink and it rocked!!!! I will definitely go back next time in in town!
