We love Shorebreak and this visit reminded us why. Our server Aubrey was seriously amazing — the perfect mix of attentive, friendly, and genuinely funny. She somehow managed to appear exactly when we needed something (refills, extra napkins, our million questions about the menu) like she had a sixth sense for the table. We also took way too long deciding what we wanted, and instead of making us feel rushed she joked that she’d give us time to “finish the committee meeting.” It had the whole table laughing.
On top of being hilarious, she gave great recommendations and everything she suggested ended up being a hit. The whole experience just felt easy and fun because of her. Shorebreak already has great food and a great vibe, but Aubrey really made the night. If you get her as your server, you basically won the restaurant lottery.

This restaurant offers a beautiful view and a well-designed setup, creating a pleasant dining atmosphere. The burgers are flavorful and well-prepared. The pizza, while tasty, tends to be on the softer side; a bit more crispness would make it perfect. I’ve visited several times, and the service is generally good, though it can vary depending on the server. The only drawback is the wait time, as food tends to take quite a while to arrive.

Located on a lake, Shorebreak’s two story Pungo location has a wonderful vibe, with high ceilings, plenty of space and the pizzas are incredibly delicious, they have other food, but love, love, their pizza. Have been there twice and look forward to returning.

Everyone is so nice here! Food was below average. The oysters are ok and the beer batter shrimp is huge! The pizza was burnt and lacked sauce, we could only eat 1 slice. The fish n chips was very dry, couldn’t even finish the first bite. The soda was flat. They’re extremely busy for a Saturday 2pm. I spent the entire time trying to get rid of all the flies indoors! Also, for new comers observing everyone, its not kid friendly here so don’t bring your kids. They dont belong on the table or running around the bar. I would not want to eat at a table where someone put their baby’s diapers. This bar scene is way too loud to enjoy a conversation. I had too high hopes for this place,no need for every TV to be on full blast. The original location is way better.

First off this place is great. The pizza is always delicious, the green beans are amazing and the main reason I go is because of the wings. Only place in the area that do dry rub Old Bay wings correct. However, this order was disappointing. I assume it was just this batch of wings but $16 for 10 wings that are not even as big as the dipping cup is annoying. Driving 20 mins to and from just to get home and see this is unfortunate.

Everything was really good. Service was attentive. I did have to initially send my burger back because I asked for it med temp and it came out well done. Once the correct burger temp came out it was delicious. We ate lunch, had a couple of beers. Then ordered a Togo order of wing’s and a pizza. Wasn’t impressed with the white pizza however the wings were great! Would certainly try a regular red sauce pizza next time. Go for the burger! And the Asian chicken lettuce wraps were awesome as well!!

We were to Sand Bridge search for a restaurant have a late lunch. We used our phone call, and dialed a friend. They recommended Shorebreak pizza and taphouse. Excellent!
Describing our entrées, but this time I will highlight the staff. They hustled, were attentive to all their customers, and they genuinely cared. I understand that that is what is supposed to be the norm, but they were very engaging. They returned to the table several times to make sure that we were taken care of. The young man bussing tables even asked us if we needed anything. That was a first for me. Nice touch!
On to the dining. We started with the Blackened Ahi Sashimi. Delicious. Our entrees were the Baja Fish Tacos and the Poke Tuna Tacos. Both of our entrees were Shorebreak favorites. The fish was fresh and packed with flavor. I definitely understand why they are favorites. If you have the opportunity, try them out.
The Shorebreak pizza and taphouse is a spacious restaurant. Plenty of heating inside and out. Although I am certain that at several times of the day, the restaurant is packed. There’s an indoor bar, and a smaller bar outside. A line of tables is strategically located on the balcony so that you can enjoy the sunset. Simply Perfect.
Our experience at short break was excellent. Thank you once again for the staff. As one of my favorite characters likes to say, “I’ll be back!”

Well the pizza is bad, I feel like something has changed since Nov’ish. The bread feels stale, the sauce tastes old, the pizza is bland and the ingredients look/taste old (not fresh) over all very disappointed because I used to love the pizza here and now I would consider frozen pizza on a stone to be better. The quality for the price is just bad.
Old review – This place is awesome, the pizza is probably one of the best I have had in the Virginia Beach area. The price for the pizza is better than ordering the big name PJ and D places. The location is good I just wish they had some more parking. The service no complaints people are nice and will take care of you.

We had an amazing experience. The service was outstanding, and our server, Maliah, was incredibly attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. Even on an extremely busy night, she delivered top-tier service.

Pizza has always been good. But tried something different there oysters and steak bites…. Wow steak was raw with no flavor. The oysters were not fully cooked.
