We decided to order from the menu because the buffet was small, did not have many choices and some of the food was dried out. The food is very bland! I ordered the catfish (it wasn’t catfish…it was Swai)…coleslaw was terrible and onions was cold…The best part of my dish was the ice water. My husband had sausage patties (the best part of his breakfast! Eggs and cheese grits and biscuit. Also very bland.

Passing through today. Service was good most of the food was old and nasty on the cold bar. Pickle was so slimy I wouldn’t eat it. Spring mix was so old it was shriveled up dry and some portions of it was slimy and inedible. Some of the containers on the cold bar were clearly just brought from the cooler not stirred up not repotted it was old brown and dry. Definitely disappointed definitely not interested in going back. Next time I’m driving through the area I’ll keep on driving

The Crossville, TN location is absolutely amazing. We were blessed to have Rachel serve us on Thanksgiving Day. She is an incredible gem in every way. The team of 14 handled the massive crowds and traffic superbly. No waits and never ran out of any food ever. Rachel needs a true reward as does the entire team. It took them all to make this rockstar holiday so memorable. We will always choose them for every holiday and non-holiday.moments!

The food bar was terrible! They closed at 8:00pm on a Sunday we got there at 6:45. They never restocked the food bar so we got up and left. I find it amazing Shoney’s hasn’t changed in all these years. Why did we even stop!?

Place was nice and clean. Fried chicken and mashed potatoes were off the charts good. Rest of the food was just eh. Our server was apparently also the only one working the buffet, so we didn’t see much of her. Our table and the one next to us had no refills and our plates just piled up on the table until we ran out of room.
ETA: We were just passing through, so we don’t know how service is consistently. We did not speak to the manager, because we didn’t want to get our server in trouble. She was busy the whole time we were there, just not in a way that she was able to prebus her tables, refill drinks and interact with her customers. I went up to 4 stars because management did reach out to me after reading my review.

I used to go to this location about once a month until construction started and now its about 4to5 times a year . The food was food and some of it I’ve been there for a while . As they say it’d be a hot minute before I go back . A standout thing was mandolin Orange s in the lettuce , which you may like but my wife is not able to eat citrus so that leads to no salad she had her heart set on .

Just don’t. There’s a reason the bulk of these are CLOSED. Menu is so limited you must eat like a child to eat there. Fried food is the name of the game. The service was the saving grace. The server was so sweet and kind. They do however show off the company politics in the bathroom.

NEVER AGAIN!!!
The family and myself went in hopes of having a great dinner. We haven’t been in a few years and used to love it so thought why not let’s try it. The server was nice and atmosphere was clean. But the food was awful! Now I was hesitant to eat anything on the bar but I tried it all anyway in hopes of finding something I wanted to eat. The chicken, porkchop, and fried chicken was nasty and bland. They didn’t have tartar sauce for the catfish so I couldn’t eat that. The chicken fries and mini corn dogs were hard. The green beans and beans had no flavor at all. And they had a chocolate cake that was good but that was it on desserts. Would NEVER and will NEVER eat here again! But I guess I got to eat a roll, mashed potatoes, and a salad that wasn’t awful. Would not have spent $70 if I’d have known the food was so bad. Bottom line food is bland and dry, I wouldn’t waste your money!
