Wow, just one of the best teppin table restaurants I have ever been to. We had a party of 40 and they accommodated us all. Service was on point and the food was incredible.

We phoned & made a reservation for 19.30. We need not have done so as I would describe the restaurant as about 30 – 40% occupancy.

We eat here frequently, because it’s my daughter’s favorite restaurant. We always request William, because of his phenomenal cooking skills and his “flare”.

This was one my dad’s favorite restaurants in town, so we went a few days ago (after a year of not going since I was last here in town). From the start of the experience we noticed a complete change of the restaurant – for the worse. Early dinner around 5pm, not too crowded at all, and we waited for five minutes at the host stand. She then sat us at a table in the sushi bar area (only table that didn’t have a black cloth on it). My dad ordered his normal tempura, but when it was delivered to the table he was astonished how small it was compared to a year before. My sushi was good – ordered the triple half roll set up. Service was OK, but not as attentive as we liked – one server was super friendly and we realized that most of them are new and the organization of before just isn’t at this place any longer. *It’s ok to go to, but not what it used to be.

Waited to be seated 20 minutes after our reservation time. 45 minutes for appetizers. Calamari was as chewy as rubber bands. Got a sushi platter. No ginger, wasabi or soy sauce. 15 minutes later, waitress shows up asking ‘how’s everything?’, totally forgot to bring those items again. Water glasses went empty. The cook came out finally at 10:00 pm. Fried rice was hard, chewy and vegetables were burnt. Steak was medium when we asked for medium rare. They did offer complementary miso soup while we waited and to comp for the fried rice. After talking to the manager about the experience I was able to negotiate a 30% of the tab.

This is the second time coming here and having the absolute worse servers. We made reservations for 6:30, our meal didn’t start until 7:30. The chef is not included in this review. Half of us ordered fried rice and the other half white. When the chef was almost finished cooking all the food the white rice finally arrived. No server in site to help fill up water cups, refills, and in the end deliver a check. We waited so long one of the kids fell asleep who was at their first teppan experience and was so excited. I had to go up and ask a hostess to send over a waiter so we could pay and leave. I thought maybe the first time was a fluke but after two times having the same experience this is the worse teppan grill I have ever been to.

I wish to say this was mediocre at best! It was the worst Japanese teppanyaki experience we’ve ever had. The steak was the worst quality; seemed like it came from Dollar Tree! The guest was late that they set us with which delayed our meal for over 45 minutes, they brought us the wrong appetizer and we thought it was ours (tempura shrimp roll vs tempura shrimp) & the waitress charged us because we started eating it. Then our waitress didn’t check in on us, 1 single solitary time! For any and everything we needed I had to go fetch Lillian! If your goal is to have a dining experience, keep going! They ended up cooking our food then seating the other guest! Our fried rice had no green onions or carrots, there was no seasoning on our food and Carlos lost the darn spatula! He was nice but consumed with the fact he was cooking for us and would have to cook at the same dirty grill for the late party. Oh and they forgot my chicken with my combo! The management was in over their head clearly. If you have a party waiting to be sat, please wait until the whole party arrives before sitting them with a party who’s ready to EAT & that was on time for their reservations! I’d have to also agree that the restaurant could use a deep cleaning! I was EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED & the 20% discount didn’t scratch the surface! I wanted to leave & not go through the trouble of complaining which was evident by my untouched plate! Thought this was a meal that was disaster proof!
