Very neat restaurant with multiple identities. There is Sho Sushi on the main floor that serves sushi and Japanese staples, Miss Do upstairs that serves Vietnamese pho and other good eats, and finally, a hidden Izakaya (Ajito) in the back, almost like a speakeasy.
Loved the sushi, udon, and creativity put into the presentation of the food. The owners Emily & Steve are also such friendly people and will go out of their way to make sure your experience is wonderful.
The space is perfect for larger group parties or family dinners.

We ordered Japanese Calamari for appetizer, Oysters, Dynamite Rolls, Cali Rolls, Blue Fin Tuna Sushi, and Chicken Wings Skewers!
Our favourite was the Japanese Calamari! It was different than what we expected it to be!

Bold and Unique on both presentation and taste! I can’t believe I have driven by for so long and didn’t step in sooner!
I came here for my birthday, and was pleasantly surprised. The food was delicious, the staff were super friendly and helpful, and the presentation of food definitely gets your attention!

I love taking my parents and younger brother here for special occasions. The food is fantastic and at quite the reasonable price too with the tiger eye rolls and fire dragon rolls being my personal favorite. My go to for sushi and date night. The mangers Jamie and Sunil always treats us like family.

Having walked through Sho every time we dined at the speakeasy, we decided to finally come by for lunch. We would give them a rating between 2.5-3 stars.
Their sushi rolls were, unfortunately, mostly rice with the tiniest bit of fish, avocado, and other ingredients inside. They were quite disappointing to say the least. The aburi nigiris were not torched evenly so they were charred in some spots and barely seared in others.
The creamy udon was ok, but definitely not comparable to the one from their speakeasy. This one was much less creamy and flavourful. He felt that the teriyaki dish was not too bad, though it didn’t come with any rice. The enoki mushrooms and spinach were a nice touch as most places don’t offer that.
We finished our meal with the tempura ice cream like
we usually do at the other restaurant. It unfortunately suffers from the same problem: the batter soaks up a lot of oil, which has an undesirable taste when paired with the ice cream.

Mahomri Palacios
This is one of our favorite places for sushi. The sashimi is delicious and the pageantry of the presentation with the dry ice really makes it special. My family favourites are the edamame and the rainbow roll. My favourite, outside of the sashimi, is the cucumber avocado roll, it comes with black sesame seeds and though simple is perfectly balanced and delicious.
Today there was a special on oysters, they were fresh and well priced with a lovely presentation on point with their other dishes.

If I could give ten stars, I would! The food, ambience and service are always 10/10. We’re from Edmonton and every time were in Calgary we make Sho a must. Everything from the ambience, food and service are always amazing. We always have Sunil as our server and they do such an amazing job serving us, and also remembering us even though we can only make it out twice a year. My favourite dishes so far have been the Pressed salmon roll, Tuna Tataki and a Japanese Calamari
