While planning for our stay, we bookmarked Shinnecock Lobster Factory as a MUST try. This place did not disappoint one bit!
We ordered a Classic Cajun Mayo Shark Size Lobster Roll, Lobster Fritters, and a Crab Cake Burger. Everything was super fresh and tasty. The lobster was juicy and well seasoned and the Crab Burger was stuffed and well made. We definitely look forward to coming back for lunch during our stay. This is indeed a MUST TRY, you will not be disappointed.

Shinnecock Lobster Factory produces easily the best lobster roll I’ve had in the Hamptons (it’s not close) and is up there with the best in Maine. The size is generous (easily double most others), and importantly you get whole lobster chunks, not the shredded lobster with celery found in so many places out here.
Seasoning is also on point, and it’s served in a high quality brioche bun that’s been griddled with butter — possibly a bit sweet for some, but worlds better than the dried out buns that are typical of other rolls out here.
The only ding would be on the chips — a bit soggy during our visit, but it doesn’t matter when the lobster is so good.
Absolutely worth a visit!

After being stuck in traffic for 2+ hours to then walking 30 mins to get to this establishment. Our excitement was crushed with the WORST customer service my husband and I could’ve ever encountered, as customers that have visited many places and tried many many food establishments this is by far the worst that takes first place of poor customer service. The young lady that worked today was very nonchalant and has zero respect for the customers that try to bring business to this restaurant.
The menu was apparently limited to very few options of what they had to sell to customers today. We started calling our items from the menu we wanted to try to which she responded “no we don’t have” at least to 3 times of trying to order things. Without informing or suggesting alternatives or the options they had available, I was left without the choice of giving the same energy and asking “okay so you tell us what you have available if none of those are available”
No smile, no apology, no care of customer service care.
We went through so much that we didn’t not want to turn away because of how bad this customer service experience was. Ended up ordering only to like the Cajun lobster roll, which was the only thing we enjoyed out of visiting this restaurant. Very sad to lose customers because of this, because after us two other customers were followed up with the same behavior to which they walked away.

Absolutely disappointed! I ordered the classic citrus. Notice they gave me the mayo version. Went back and asked if this is the right order and they say I’ll rinse it with water ! What?!? I just paid $40 bucks for each. And the lobster bisque soup was beyond salty! I ordered two also
and boy do I regret! The owner had gotten lazy and hired these college kids to make the food. Honestly the kid deserves credit for working. Save your money and just go elsewhere in the Hampton.

We love lobster rolls so stopped by here and picked up the Hamptons (warm butter and chives) and Diavolo (spicy pomodoro sauce). The rolls were delicious and the chips (they tasted homemade) were amazing. The portions were big (we got the Whale; 8oz of lobster) and they def didn’t skimp. The lobster was fresh, but unfortunately every other bite was overcooked and a bit rubbery. We thought the pomodoro sauce was great and the chives were fresh. We may have to come back and give this place another try when we are back in town.
The lady who took our order was a bit rude/unfriendly but that could have been because another customer that ordered before us was extremely rude. Could also be this is par for the course in this area. I did like the fact they had picnic style seating out back which was nice on a beautiful spring day.

Not bad.. a little pricey for a shack and some outside seating but was pretty tasty. Very casual counter service and seating in front and back. Easy parking and relatively fast service. Went for lunch and had a whale sized hampton style roll. For $39 i think you should get more , or something better than chips. Loads of butter and was fresh. Not dying to go back but wasn’t awful.

The worst, if not the worst attitude for ordering at a food stand/restaurant ever. Had heard so many great things about the place and we walked away disappointed vowing never to come back again. The lobster roll was okay, but getting the order done was the worst experience ever. The value wasn’t close to the primium price. To the girl behind the counter: at least try to show you care a little bit.

Highly highly highly recommend the lobster frites. 20 dollars. Eat right away when warm. Lightly Fried perfectly. Juicey chunks of lobster. Made to order so not much of a wait time. Spicey chipotle mayo goes well with the dish. Enough to share for two people to take out on the go to Montauk. Very friendly service. Will be back again.

Extremely overrated. Lobster roll was chewy and didn’t taste like lobster at all. Lobster bisque was bad. It was extremely watery and had no lobster and was all halved cherry tomatoes (see photo.) not worth the price or wait. Save yourself the trouble and go to LUNCH which is better in every way.

I tried the Hamptons lobster roll and it was delicious. Very large and warm I got the shark size. I recommend getting the food to go and eating it in your car or pulling up by a nearby beach. Seating here is outdoor and limited. You can’t miss this place with the giant lobster outside. Also the staff was very friendly.
