The service was great, the atmosphere was nice and the location was convenient. There is parking in the back or nearby so it is not a hassle to eat here. Sushi and entrees are at average prices but a wee bit on the expensive side. However, their quality and showmanship are excellent. I recommend this place to anyone who is an avid sushi/seafood lover.

Sat down and was stared at for 20 minutes by the servers and chefs and not helped by anyone. The chef even peeked out from the kitchen multiple times and stared at us like we were insane. Walked out to get better food and service.

The food here was great! Having specialized in izakaya cuisine, it was enjoyable to see karaage, tonkatsu, and donburi on the menu. I had the three piece omakase nigiri, karaage, and salad. All very good. My dad had the salmon Don bowl and really enjoyed it. Highly recommend

The dragon roll, California roll and sashimi are very delicious & tasty, the server was very nice and helpful. They have patio seating but a little chill at night.

We ordered a sashimi set and a nigiri set, but we were disappointed with both. The fish pieces were paper-thin, and some of them were irregularly shaped end-pieces. Moreover, there were only four choices of fish. I found the prices to be excessively high.

Small place, but very original look and feel. The food is great and so are the drinks. The service is surprisingly fast for a small place. Definitely a must if you’ve never been. Sitting in the porch area is nice except when the wind blows the dumpster smell towards it. Nothing anyone can stop 🙁

This place looks like a hole in the wall a bit when you come in. We ate on the porch since inside smelled like fish. Ordered a crunchy California, redwood and cotati roll. The redwood was the best, see image. Would come back again to try more rolls.

Sushi lovers, this is THE spot to go. I went to Cotati’s location to celebrate a birthday. Dinner for 4 people was only $140 (this includes drinks). They serve fresh salad, delicious appetizers, refreshing lemonade and beautiful dishes presentation. Outstanding customer service. Highly recommend.
