The coffee flights and waffles flights will not disappoint. I highly recommend this place if you are ever near Morris, IL. If you are ever planning a hike at Starved Rock State Park definitely stop here. Morris is the exit right before the park. It will be amazing, I promise!

We took a pit stop here right after entering Morris Town and it’s safe to say it’s conveniently located near the exit so you don’t have to drive much before exiting the town. Talking about the place, the food was delicious. Being a vegetarian I found their Vegetarian skillet the best. It has all the veggies including potatoes, mushrooms, broccoli, cheese, egg (optional) etc. Their pancakes are super big and tasty, so definitely try. We got the regular pancakes but they tasted good as well. They are open to making substitutions (besides the menu saying otherwise) in their 2*2*2 menu items so don’t hesitate to switch your items in there. In the end, the coffee was decent as well. They have weekly sometimes daily specials going on, and are written beautifully up front. Don’t forget to check that out.

Waited 5 minutes before server came. Only half the food came out without the sides. 20 minutes later the rest started to come out and another 10 minutes partial order came out. Chicken alfredo ended up being greasy noodles with no flavor. Never refilled drinks including water. Mothers day and was not busy. Very terrible service. Only thing that saved dinner was the waffle flights and only 2 came while the rest was sitting on the counter for 5 minutes before it came out after i had to go and ask for it. Brought us the bill and still missing food.

I just moved to the area and I have found a hidden gem in Morris. Sherwood Oaks Waffle Cafe is a great restaurant!! I highly recommend this place for breakfast, lunch or dinner. My family has not had a bad entrée yet and I plan to go back every week!!

Staff is always smiling no matter what hour you stop in to eat. Ever since they remodeled, the atmosphere is so fresh, welcoming, and casual. Great for friends and family to hang out over good food.

What an absolute Gem!!! This place is great. Our coffee and waffle flight. My wife and I literally didn’t have to eat the rest of the day with all the food we ate, and had left overs. All for a very affordable price as well. Atmosphere was like an old school Diner but with new age look and menu. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! We’ll be back for sure.

I didn’t get our waitresses name but she was really good. She was friendly and she checked back with us several times to see if we needed anything. Our food was good. I had the pork tenderloin sandwich and my husband had a steak burger. I thought in general the prices were a little bit high. The food was good but the restaurant definitely needed some updating. It probably was last remodeled sometime in the 1980s! Since we do come to Morris on occasion, I wouldn’t hesitate to go back.
