Stopped in here during a day on the mountain when temps were in the negatives with intense wind chill. Our group just needed a minute to warm up and catch our breath. Before we even had the chance, one staff member became aggressive and combative, telling us we had to buy something or leave.
When we explained that someone in our group might have frostbite, she said she didn’t care. That was honestly shocking. Frostbite is a serious medical issue, and the appropriate response would have been to offer help or contact ski patrol—not dismiss it.
For a resort where guests are paying hundreds of dollars to be there, being shaken down to buy concessions when you simply want somewhere to ensure safety is incredibly disappointing. Big Sky wants to act like they’re a premiere resort but the hospitality and staff fall short.

Typical mid mountain hangout. Only two windows to get people orders. They did alright moving people through but low emphasis on quality. Hot chocolate very watered down. Coffee super watery. Rest of menu typical high priced ski food.

Great grill! Had lunch here and the food was delicious. Can get pretty crowded so try and come a bit earlier than typical dining hours. The menu is very meat heavy, but that’s what you can expect from a grill. Plenty of seating is available both inside and outside, but during typical dining hours inside seating can be pretty limited. But great place to get food overall!
