If you like all things fried, this is a must stop for you! The fried catfish is crispy and light, but not overwhelming with batter… The perfect combination. Super friendly workers and the wait is not long for takeout, Even during a busy lunch hour. The physical setting is not so great, not as clean as it could be, but for takeout it’s top-notch.

If I could rate them out of business I would. Do not eat here unless you would like a finger nail in your food. I couldn’t wait until they opened. I was ready for the manager to say something crazy but instead he was Apologetic. He gave me my money back but that means nothing to me because the people he trust to take care of the customer are nasty. If they would do that, they would do anything. Don’t eat there.

This has to be one of the best restaurants in Macon, and I’ve eaten in quite a few. Nothing fancy and you won’t mind it. I think it’s an old Huddle House or something like it. The “ambiance”, if that’s what you’re looking for, is the joy on the people’s faces as they anticipate their food. You know they know.
Went in about 8PM and there was a long line. Good indication of what was in store. As the sign says, this is NOT a fast food joint. It took maybe 10-15 minutes to get the food, but it was well worth the wait. The ladies at the counter were amazing and even working non-stop they had the right attitude. Make sure to drop a few bills in the tip jar. They deserve everything they get!
I had the catfish dinner with two of the biggest most perfectly fried portions I’ve had anywhere. They have their frying game down to a science here. There were lots of fries, a couple of small hush puppies, and the slaw was okay. Slaw is very subjective I think. This slaw was a little sweet, but not sickeningly so like a lot of the slaw you get in Georgia. Also, I didn’t get the spice sprinkled on my order, but most people do. I’m glad they give you an option. I’ve just found that a lot of these add-on seasonings are far too salty for me. Oh, and the sweet tea is good, but I made mine half-and-half.
Don’t forget to grab utensils because as busy as these ladies are, they might forget. You’ll forgive them for that once you get your food.
My new go-to place in Macon. It’s out of the way, on the east side near the Ocmulgee National Monument, but it’s worth the drive from anywhere in town.

This little hole in the wall is a gift from heaven. This food is absolutely amazing. Probably the best bang for your buck hands down. The portions are huge and you can’t beat their prices. The staff is super friendly. If you’ve driven by here and haven’t tried it, if you stop and give it a shot, you’ll never drive by it again.

I literally asked for the seasoning to be on the side. I received 4 cups of hot sauce and they were not even filled up

I eat at Sharks often, but today I went in at lunch time and the chicken was so over cooked ( maybe heat lamp ?) it was like jerky even though I asked them to soft fry. The French fries were not much better, they were over cooked too. I was craving fried chicken and got this crap. Do better Sharks. I don’t mind waiting for my food to cook.
