We went for restaurant week. We were impressed by the French onion soup and the bread rolls. The anchovy on the Caesar salad was not to our taste. I did not like the steak; I thought the sauce interfered with its flavor. I also was disappointed with the fries; I would have preferred a mashed or baked potato. The chocolate dessert was delicious, not too sweet, and a fun balance of textures, creamy and crunchy.
The atmosphere is upscale and cozy. The booth felt intimate. The room was large but was not noisy even when full. We liked
being able to see directly into the kitchen.

The food here is amazing!!! First- the midnight in Mexico drink was the best mezcal drink I have ever had. The fresh bread they bring to the table was so good. My husband had the steak and I had the lobster, both were delicious. We will be back again 🙂

The porterhouse was absolutely amazing — perfectly cooked and tender enough to cut like butter. The lobster bisque was phenomenal, rich, and full of flavor. Our waitress, Jerilyn, provided excellent service and made the whole experience even better. We’ll definitely be coming back again!

EXCELLENT SERVICE and the Food was the BEST. My husband and I had the BEST STEAKS we have ever ate. Cut the steaks with a fork so tender and the Seasoning on them was perfect. I had the 6oz Filet and my Husband had the T Bone mouthwatering. Our Server Natalie ABOVE AND BEYOND MAKING OUR EXPERIENCE EXTRA SPECIAL. Very friendly Highly Recommend her. I decided to book a midweek date night at Council Oak, without knowing much about it. The wife asked for a place with seafood options, and I wanted a steak, so it seemed a natural fit. We were not disappointed! The service, food, and atmosphere were all top notch. It is so refreshing, in an era in which customer service has diminished so much, to be truly waited on. My steak was perfectly cooked (I would place it solidly in my all-time top 10) and my wife said her shrimp scampi was delicious. The restaurant itself is clean and contemporary – the perfect setting for a most memorable date night!

The food was delicious. Our server Geraldine was amazing. She was very attentive and gave some great recommendations. The lobster bisque soup was to die for. Our steaks were cooked perfectly. My mixed drink was pretty strong. We were celebrating our anniversary and got a lovely desert surprise at the end. We will definitely be back!

We love to try new foods & tastes, so hubby made reservations here for my birthday. We were greeted warmly by staff and the seating is quaint and elegant. Homemade rolls were brought to the table hot & fresh. We started with sharing appetizers, crab cakes and lobster bisque. The soup was delicious! Maybe the best lobster bisque I’ve ever had! The crab cakes, not to our liking. They had an off taste we couldn’t put our finger on & sort of fishy. Our entree’s were served promptly. I ordered a Filet steak medium, hubby ordered the grilled apple pork chop. The steak was so salty & dry, I only took one bite. It looked to be cooked to perfection, but I couldn’t get past the amount of salt it was seared with. I took it to go. Hubbys pork chop was amazing! Huge portion, cooked perfectly with apple garnish. We also ordered a side of the asparagus & augratin potatoes. The potatoes were delicious, asparagus could have been cooked a bit longer, they were thick and tough. The highlight of this restaurant is the service. They are very attentive and accommodating. Top notch! We give service 5 stars! The food is high end pricing, so we expected perfection. Overall we give them a 3.6 due to the food not meeting our expectations.
