I’ve been looking for a good Chinese place with not only good quality food but an atmosphere to match. Gone are the days where we all want to sit in a dark hole in the wall for good Chinese food.
The food was awesome. The atmosphere was bright, open and clean. 2 large TV’s over the bar playing sports with music flowing to create a perfect date night vibe.

We ordered a few lunch specials, spicy orange chicken, shrimp chow fun, low mein, and combination fried rice. The restaurant was very clean and had a great atmosphere. For the service, it was beyond friendly and quick as can be. Personally, I would have enjoyed more veggies with the noodles and fried rice, which had no eggs or carrots, or peas. The rice was cooked well but lacking that crunch or extra you get from those veggies I’m used to getting. Portions were fair, and prices were as well. Will be back for more and hopefully can bump it to a 5 star overall rating. I do recommend trying this place out.

So I have to give this place a two star not just based on the food but the service is ridiculous. Our server to say the least should find another job. Poor girl aside from the eye lashes that don’t allow her to see she drags her feet everywhere. We met another server name Carl he was very nice and seemed to work very hard picking up this girls slack. I came in for dinner with two younger children and this place doesn’t even have and baby stations in neither restrooms. So save your 80 dollars and eat somewhere who deserves your money.
Now to talk about the food. Basic nothing to special. Duck was good not bad. Lo-mein wasn’t bad either but again super basic. Schezuan chicken was basic also. I asked for green tea this poor girl gave me a full pot with one tea bag in it. All the sodas didn’t have proper carbonation either. We didn’t get charged for either drinks. Sorry for the bad post I hate to bash restaurants but it’s just isn’t worth the money. On the positive side it’s a pretty location and super clean.

Great place. Super food and amazing service (albeit we were there at a slow period). I had read in another review that they had a separate vegan menu. When we went in, I asked about plant based options and the very knowledgeable gentleman (probably owner or manager) made some suggestions. They he said he would go get the vegan menu. He couldn’t find it, so we just ordered what he recommended. It was really a great experience. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place.

My husband and I tried Shangri-La based on recommendations from his coworkers. We were blown away even going in with high expectations. We had the crab rangoons with the sweet and sour sauce. They were AMAZING. The rangoons were super light and crispy and the filling was great. Hubby had the combination fried rice which had a great ratio of meat to rice and vegetables and everything was cooked perfectly. None of the meat was chewy and the rice tasted super fresh, not stale like some fried rice tastes. I had the Mongolian beef which was delicious. The beef was cooked great, super tender and very flavorful. The sauce was a good balance of flavors, not too salty but definitely not bland. Hubby also got some of the wonton soup. It was good. He said it tasted different from other kinds he’s had (still good just different) because they use a pork stock instead of chicken and you can tell the wontons are handmade. For dessert we got the lychee fruit. I have never seen it offered anywhere before so I was very excited to get it. It tasted great! Hubby- who had never tasted it before- described it as tasting like a sweet ripe pear with the texture of a grape. They were delicious and I highly recommend trying them if you e never had them before. Our waitress Tammy also made our night amazing. Super personable, nice, funny and made sure our food didn’t have an allergen in it. She was super great about checking in on us, giving suggestions, and made us just feel incredibly welcome like we were regulars. Overall we enjoyed our dinner thoroughly and will absolutely be back!

This is my second visit to Shangri-La Restaurant. I ordered Chicken Egg Rolls & Chicken Fried Rice to go. When I walked in to pickup my order, I was greeted warmly by one of the owners.
The restaurant has a very inviting decor and feel. My food was delicious. The portion of white meat Chicken was good and cooked well. If you are looking for a casual meal or great take-out, I would recommend checking out Shangri-La Restaurant.
