The food is amazing. I took my wife over here for Valentine’s Day dinner. The sirloin steak kebabs are really delicious. I had the chicken skewers with ground beef skewers. The rice is really nice and fluffy. The grilled tomatoes is juicy. Parking is free. Restrooms are clean. The two or three aquariums Lend a nice ambience. All in all, it was a very pleasant experience for my family. Laura was our server and is an expert in hospitality. We were welcomed nicely and seated in a warm spot near the heater vent .

Ughh. Gave it two tries. First time the key ingredients in the traditional spinach and beef stew were sparse and cheap – I needed to make my own to cure the disappointment. The sides were so-so.
Second time, planning this time to try kabobs, was worse than the first.
Ended up leaving before ordering.
Arrived 6pm on a week night, greeted by super strong chemical odor as the staff were mopping the floor at the entrance and bar area, telling us to walk around their mopping project.
There were no other customers, we picked a table one of the empty pre-set tables far from the mopping project (they were all topped with clear plastic over linens – so they don’t have to change linens?) once we sat down we found food stuck on the dishes from poor washing. Not just one dish, which we first thought was an oversight, but found several dishes that way. This was not an oversight, it was indifference.
As the chemical smell of the floor mopping wafted over to our table we called it quits and headed out of the joint.
By the way, the place was empty both times, and seems a bit sus.

I had to sit for almost 40 minutes and no one came to take my order, I had to go and hep myself to get the menu. And after that I still had to wait another 20 minutes for someone to get my orders, after that tasteless food under temperature rice and I can write about everything, food portions and quality of food and taste . On the top I had one person who was running around to everyone. He was touching food and money and utensil, so many things. I just wanted to say guys if you’re really looking to taste IRANIAN FOOD please don’t come here!!!! It’s totally the opposite.

Not the finest Persian restaurant in Portlnad area. The food lacks distinctiveness; both the Beef Kabob and Soltani Kabob we ordered weren’t that authentic kind of Persian kabobs. The server did not bring water and silverware for our child, so we had to ask. The restaurant was a bit chilly, making it hard to fully enjoy the meal. Overall, the price you pay doesn’t match the service and quality you receive.

I’ve always been interested in Mediterranean style food even before I went and traveled around the Mediterranean myself. I’ve had the good fortune of having food from the North African continent as well as the European and Middle Eastern continents that call themselves Mediterranean. All of them have something great to contribute. One thing I would note about this particular location is that their flavors do a good job of taking influence from all the way around.

I ordered dinner from the new restaurant Shandiz Bar and Grill (formerly Pasha Restaurant and Lounge).
What a great choice!
The food is extremely fresh, clean, plentiful, and flavorful!
I had the Chicken Kabob Platter which includes saffron rice.
I also had an order of the Tzatziki-Pita. The tzatziki is incredibly light and tasty.
My daughter had the Gyro Sandwich with Fries and really enjoyed them.
Overall excellent!!!

Absolutely delicious. The chef is actually a Persian chef. He has been with them for 20 years. He really knows his stuff. The food was Absolutely delicious.
The spices and flavors complimented each other nicely. Very flavorful and cooked just right.
