Went for a new years eve party it was fun. The moment you walk in someone is at the front desk to direct you. Place is beautiful has a huge lobby and it has tons of artwork. Lots of space and floors. Bar was good and had a few servers. Prices were decent and nice view of the outdoors.

I’ve hung out at The Dime with friends a few times and always had a great experience. The service is excellent, especially the bartender Eric — he makes amazing drinks and always checks in to make sure you’re good. I had the wings and they were tasty, and the atmosphere is really peaceful. The regulars that come in are friendly too, which makes it a welcoming spot overall. Definitely a great place to relax and enjoy some good food and drinks.

Fancy hotel restaurant. We started going here for their Wednesday trivia and their specials are decent but the food is quite expensive otherwise. I guess it is a fancy pants hotel though. Anyway they need to hire wayyy more staff, there’s always only one or two waitstaff and they’re easily overwhelmed. Kitchen is also somehow incredibly slow, up to an hour wait – not that it’s that serious because we’re here for the game anyway, but in any other situation that would be crazy.

Went for New Year’s Eve, menu was Prix Fixe, menu item did not resemble descriptions, grilled Caluliflower steak was half a Cauliflower heard that was streamed, no accomodations for vegetarians, couldn’t make a simple salad dressing instead of Caesar. Best part of the meal at $85 a person were the truffle fries that came with my Sirloin. Same dessert, wildly different proportions. Creme brulee missing crust. We may have ate 1/3 of our meal for the 4 of us.

Only acceptable spot, our server was doing at least 3 jobs including bar tending, she was really working hard but could not make up for this experience.

Will not be going back here ever.

The food was amazing. I had the steak. My wife had the chicken. We started with these egg rolls. Very delicious. It wasn’t crowded on an 8 o’clock Saturday night. Great for a private date night. Atmosphere was fancy. Highly recommend the restaurant.

I drove 1 hour to get to The Dime in Allentown, PA as my wife and I enjoy experiencing different dining venues and foods. I called to make a reservation but was put on hold as soon as they picked up the phone. I waited for a good 10 minutes before hanging up and just walked in after finding parking. When I arrived there at around 5pm there was a pretty good crowd in the bar area with a live DJ, Lights and all. I was looking forward for their happy hour drinks before sitting and dining. Unfortunately they told me and my wife that there was a private event at the bar area and only the restaurant menu was available. I asked if we can still order drinks from the bar for happy hour (4p-6pm) I was told we were unable to order from the bar (happy hour cocktails). So we settled for an early dinner and restaurant cocktail menu which didn’t give much options. The vibe was industrial decor and pleasant views from the third floor but nothing to really brag about. Our server “Stacy” was welcoming and friendly plus attentive and hospitable. The food was okay , served large portions and sharable. Drinks were good but nothing wow in my opinion. Not somewhere I would return or even recommend unless you are staying at the attached Renaissance Hotel or going to an event at the PPL Arena. I would not go out of my way again for this place especially since I didn’t feel accommodated for drinks at the bar and felt forced to dine upon arrival. It’s all about how the place makes me feel in my opinion and this place wasn’t a dime for me , no pun intended.

Mixed feelings about this establishment….we had a large party (of 10) so they seated us in the back, private room. Very nice and intimate. For a Friday night, and an event at the PPL center, it was quite empty and quiet. Our appetizers (3) did take a while to come out. Our food was enjoyable…the short rib egg-rolls (appetizer) were the highlight for sure. Our waitress was okay…not super attentive but not the worse.
Would I come back? Sure, if I was in the area and wanted a nice drink and appetizer. Overall, enjoyable night and beautiful restaurant but not anything that’s “memorable”.

We went with friends for New Year’s Eve. The fixed menu was extremely limited- as a vegetarian, I had 1 option. I requested Italian dressing instead of Caesar on my salad.
Three of the four appetizers arrived at the table, along with our dinner sides. I waited at least another 15 minutes for my salad. When it eventually arrived, it had Caesar dressing on it. She took it back and after another extended wait, brought a new salad with Caesar on the side. When I mentioned I had requested Italian because I don’t eat anchovies, I was told that’s all they had. I aaked I could get oil and vinegar, she finally offered a dill dressing which was positively awful. So the first course of my $85 meal consisted of dry romaine lettuce sprinkled with parmesan cheese and bread crumbs. I ate about three bites.
My second course, the only vegetarian option, was a huge head of steamed cauliflower, atop plain lentils. Zero flavor at all. I ate about four bites. Thankfully I had ordered the side of roasted carrots for the table. Unfortunately, since they had come out with everyone else’s appetizers, they were ice cold by the time I ate them 45 minutes later.
I hoped the creme brulee dessert would save the day since it is my favorite. It was not good at all. The consistency was mealy and oily. Not smooth and creamy as it should be. I ate half, only because I was starving.
The three other people in my party had slightly better meals, but not by much.
I will say the hostess and servers worked as a team, however they made no attempt to determine who ordered which meal or drink. Even when we tried to help them, they just sat food and drinks in front of us, seemingly by guess or roll of the dice. Every single item had to be passed to the correct person.
Pros? It was easy to get a table, and now we know why. The view is nice. The server was friendly and did her best.
I will not go back. Ever.

Wanted to try this restaurant for a while now and luckily i had the chance to for my friends birthday. The atmosphere is unique and comfortable. The waitress we had was super sweet and helpful with my order. I ordered the cosmopolitan, the chicken milanese with a side salad. The other dish was the Panko Crushed Salmon with wine. The food was good and tasty. The drinks were good as well.
