Nice atmosphere. The Bartender made two Good drinks, at least it appears he takes pride in his bartending. So many bartenders at the nice restaurants we go to don’t care much about the quality of their drinks. The cooks take pride in their cooking although it took over an hour to get our entrées even though we were the first table seated. Service was very slow, total time from seating to pay check was 1.75 hours and we weren’t offered desert nor did we want to wait for it. The food looked great but had a lack of flavor, that could be due to geriatric population here in Palm Springs.

Classy and Sassy place! We didn’t have a reservation; however, we got sitted in a friendly manner. Our waiter gave us suggestions and explained everything in the menu.
Customer service is awesome, food is delicious and the atmosphere is great. We arrived around 5:30pm for dinner, at 6 PM there no tables were open and a line was awaiting to be sitted. The price is right : you get what you paid for.
PS: on the pic is a Salmon Salad.

10/18/22 – Bartender on his way out couldn’t leave fast enough. He shared his opinion unprofessionally about the owner and how things are ran. The online menu doesn’t match the menu in restaurant either.
I came for the ribeye and it’s no longer offered.
Shrimp scampi was A+
Crab cakes were terrible F-

Went here for the first time this week. It was a date night and turned out to be the perfect spot for such an evening. The food was nothing short of stellar. She had tilapia and I had shrimp and scallops. Just wow. So good. The service was friendly and efficient, and the atmosphere is what you would expect from a fine dining experience. Not inexpensive but worth every penny. Highly recommend!

Excellent food. The salad was very cold and fresh. The crab cake appetizer was excellent also….the wine pour is small. The entrees are large and hot…. As to serving the entree it should not be auctioned off. After my many years of experience working in fine restaurants …. Position one is the first seat on servers left and you work your way around the table clockwise this insures the food server knows the position to place entrees.

Fantastic! Reservations may be needed at times. Easy to book. Great food and drinks. The bar needs a new blender has been broken last 3 visits. We like blended margaritas. Great friendly staff.

The food is good. I had the shrimp and scallops with julienne vegetables and rice. The sauce on the rice and vegetables was quite tasty. My partner had the flank steak which was cooked just perfect and a decent portion. The service there once you get your menus and you have your order taken is excellent. The waiter took about 15 minutes to get us our menus. That was the worst part and one we could live with. The Praxis are a little on the higher side and the restaurant tends to be a little on the fancy side. With that said, this is Palm Springs and you can wear casual anywhere including shame on the Moon.

Honestly the menu looks fine. It’s a normal upscale place. We made a reservation and mentioned that we had a 2 year old. When we showed up to our reservation, they did not have a high chair.
How do you not have a high chair? Does no one in the restaurant have kids? Has any 2 year old been on a proper chair and eaten? We ended up leaving right away. If you don’t want kids at the place, just say that.

We recently dined at the reopened restaurant. It was a dispiriting experience, in terms of atmosphere, service, and food. Although the interior retains its cool, dimly-lit elegance, the table settings were missing: no chargers, no plates, no flatware, no salt and pepper shakers, no flowers – just a barren table top. Service was certainly not spot-on. Even though the restaurant was at half capacity, and there seemed to be plenty of servers around, service was slow and impersonal. The hostess who seated us without any greeting wasn’t welcoming or even attractively dressed. (No Ginger there.) Once at our table, we had to ask for place settings and bread, drinks took a while to arrive, the wine service perfunctory, and there was no follow-up after the courses were presented. As for the food, the menu hasn’t been changed for years, and one gets the impression that it is all prepared ahead of time, especially the sides, with little imagination or interest from the kitchen.
A notice on the front door indicates that the restaurant has new owners. Will they return this very special place to its former “glory” or continue its decline?
