Rest about the place: as usual good crowd during lunch time, I opted for outdoor seating – despite it was a cold day with rains around. The person at counter offered the Heater, but I declined.
Overall same experience you will get across the chain.
We had a wonderful dining experience! The food was absolutely delicious and full of authentic flavor. The dosa was excellent, especially the benne dosa, which was perfectly prepared. The Kesari was outstanding — one of the best we have had.
We also loved the onion samosa, sambar, and the filter coffee, which was very addictive and refreshing. Some other dishes that would be great additions to the menu are Medu Vada, Pongal, Chinna Vengaya (small onion) sambar, Sambar rice, Idly, and Pakora dipped in sambar idly — these would make the menu even more amazing.
The staff were extremely helpful, friendly, and attentive, making the whole experience even better. Overall, it was a fantastic meal and we truly enjoyed it. Highly recommended for anyone who loves authentic South Indian food!
All in all, everyone MUST come here to enjoy the food!
Hands down the best cleanest south indian restaurant. This beautiful restaurant run by beautiful and hardworking people is an experience. Food is simple, fresh, delicious, and tasty. The folks making the food, and serving the food are kind, clean, and friendly.
Everybody wears a hair net, pair of gloves believe in good quick service, excellent customer service and engagement.
This review is particularly big because I DO NOT eat south indian and I still love this place. Mr. Vincent is friendly, caring and amazing. Overall, I highly recommend this place. Go soon because this place does get crowded and I don’t blame the crowd for thronging in serpentine lines here!
Loved the coffee – try strong with little to no jaggery – my new favorite.
Loved the Benne dosa and poori masala..
The vada or anything deep fried is super oily so would need to soak it off with paper napkins. The sambhar and coconut chutneys are great and the staff is amazing. They have the “service with a smile”. The atmosphere is that of a fast-food/ takeout place I.e. simple and not the best.
They still serve in disposable plates and plastic cutlery, like a fast food joint…something that always puts me off. I am so looking forward to a day when they can install a commercial dishwasher and serve in actual plates-steel/stoneware/ceramic etc.

As a San Ramon resident my husband and I have been loyal and frequent guests of this restaurant since it first opened. It used to be our “go-to” spot because the food and service were consistently high quality. Unfortunately, it seems that as they have become more popular, they have stopped valuing their customers.
We visited for lunch on Saturday, Feb 7th, 2026, at 1:20 PM, and the experience was incredibly rude. We were initially directed to a table in a very high-traffic area. Due to some health-related needs, I prefer to sit in a quieter spot, so I politely asked for an available corner table by the window.
The hostess flatly denied the request, claiming that a 4-person table could not be used for two people. There were at least two other 4-person tables sitting empty, and since they do not take reservations, they weren’t “held” for anyone. Even after asking politely, we were told—multiple times—that we would have to wait indefinitely until a 2-person table opened up. They even went so far as to tell us to cancel our order if we didn’t want to sit where we were told. (And this was the second time we experienced this denial.)
We decided to take our business elsewhere. Interestingly, we went to a smaller, busier restaurant nearby that welcomed us to a 4-person table without a second thought.
It is a shame to see a local business lose its touch and stop caring about the residents who helped them settle in. We won’t be returning.
