We try to always get Shaka Taco when we visit Topsail Beach. This year, we ordered takeout for dinner, and it was extremely tasty. Everyone enjoyed their food (mostly bowls); my fish taco was very good, but it came in a distant second to my pork taco, which was spectacular. Ingredients are fresh and compliment their respective proteins.
If you order for pick up, you go into the surf shop, so don’t stand in line!

Shrimp tacos are always a go-to option here. There is a reason for the line during peak season because the food is always great. Highly recommend giving this place a try on your next visit to the Island.

We wanted some fresh tacos for lunch! I had the pork and carne asada tacos. Fish, tuna, chicken, and some chicken nachos are also pictured. This place is super tasty and is right off of the beach. It was fresh and light, just what you want at the beach. I 100% recommend this place!

Actual best meal I had in surf city. Tacos were good. Got the shrimp. The quesadilla was also nice. Chicken was top notch but nothing special. The nachos. OMG. Got the veggie nachos add carne asada. The portion was huge, steak was amazing, and that cheese sauce was next to greatness.

Super fun beach side taco shop. It has parking and quick service, although it can get busy. I had the Tuna taco and a house pork and both were fantastic. The chips and queso was great! Loved the atmosphere as well.

They serve breakfast up until 11 am, we waited until 11 to order lunch. I ordered a taco bowl with ground meat. The portion size was very big, I would say it could easily be shared between a couple. I also ordered a jalapeno margarita which I found unimpressive. It lacked flavor from the jalapeno and was carbonated and tasted more like a soda than an alcoholic beverage. They only have outdoor seating, however the upper patio has fans. Use the restroom inside and walk through their gift shop. You order and pay at the counter here and they bring the food and drinks out to your table.

Very casual and comfortable dining, you order from the window and they bring it to you, you can sit wherever! VERY delicious. I can the steak and shrimp tacos, they were gone before I even noticed. The drinks were good too!! My only qualm, I can’t get the name right. I feel like Shako Taco flows, or even Shaka Taka! The A and O combo messes with me (I’m just being silly, 10/10 recommend this place)

After going to the touch tank aquarium, the fam was hungry, so we went next door. You wait in line on the ramp to order at the window. After ordering, there is plenty of covered outside seating, although I imagine it can get busy. There is a surf shop connected and they offer lessons. We got a mix of items – shrimp Grom Dilla, chicken taco, carne taco, bottomless chips and salsa and queso. I’m not usually a fan of green salsa, but their’s is amazing! I love the freshness and lime flavor. Lots of cheese and shrimp in the Dilla and the carne taco was delicious. The queso is a hefty portion and very good. I also got a pear cider, which a little sweeter than I normally liked, but with the spicy food, it was a great compliment. Great experience and I would go back.
