It’s a very lively and popular place, and the crowd is usually quite energetic, so it might not be the best spot for a quiet date, but it’s perfect if you want to have a great time and enjoy really good food.
The service is very good, and the churros are another one of my favorites on the menu.
If you have the chance, don’t miss the opportunity to go and enjoy it!
The drinks look amazing! We didn’t partake this round. However the margarita tower, Mojitos and shots were a hit amongst other patrons.
If you want quiet indoor dining, this isn’t the spot on an average busy night. The televisions with sporting games, table coversations and music will be in your background. This was not an issue for us because the food was so delicious we forgot about the noise.
My first time trying a shrimp Chimichanga. The seafood was grilled and seasoned nice. I was surprised to have a shrimp in every bite! One thing I appreciated about the meal was the queso sauce along with the salsa. This set Trea Tequila apart for me. Compared to other similar restaurants I’ve been to who only offer unlimitee salsa/chips. The queso saucevis good. My companion had the steak burrito which she added lettuce/tomato. She really enjoyed. The beans and rice were delicious too.
Sopapillas were a sweet surprise as we usually dont order dessert. Strawberries were fresh and cream was not from a bottle. The fried dough was lightly dusted with sugar and not overwhelming.
Staff was patient while we looked over menu. This was very pleasant as we did not feel rushed to order. The decor is bright and colorful and our booth was comfy. Bathroom was clean as well.
We will definitely be back.
I have also delivered food from here and the staff is always friendly.
As far as the typical chips and salsa here, they also serve a white queso which unfortunately, all three were underwhelming as well. The salsa is thin and queso, by the time it comes out, is already almost room temperature. Chips were room temperature and lacking salt.
The service was friendly, prompt, and accurate. I came in with a party of about 10. Nobody ordered appetizers or dessert, nor did anyone drink alcohol (it was a workweek lunch party).
Would I come here again? No. Not unless it was out of my control. In my opinion, the only thing this place has going for it is location and I guess it could be good after a night of local bar hopping or other precursors, I feel like one would have to be in a different headspace to enjoy the food.
To sum it up, I feel like I may have different expectations on what I’m used to. My family and I have been eating at Chimis on Cherry Street since we were children and it’s always been a wonderful, consistent dining experience (I guess they’re doing it right since they’ve been there for over 40 years). I really wanted to like 3 Tequilas however, I just don’t think that’ll happen anytime soon.
So I gave in and gave them another chance, I figured of all the time I went that day was the only bad visit I had. I gave them a chance to turn it around for me and they did. I went during lunch hours it was too busy for a nice day. I enjoyed the beef fajitas from the lunch menu and man it was so delicious it was seasoned very good!! I will attach photos from the last visit I had. Now I did visit alone, without the kids lol for some much need alone time so idk if that have anything to do with it. Let’s just call it even I myself and the restaurant had an off day, it happens.
I was very disappointed when I went to 3 Tequilas this past weekend. I’ve been a few times with great experiences but this one did it for me. First, my family and I was seated before another family at the table across from us but some how that family got everything before us. I always tip, so I’m not sure if the waiter I had thought different but this was my first time having him. Then as we sat and waited for our food, we get chips, queso, and salsa. Usually when I come I never have to ask for more. They bring it, well not this time. But as I said the table after us did not have to ask at all. Didn’t receive any refills on my water. Once I received my food they didn’t even give me my tortillas for my fajitas so I literally waited 5 minutes just to receive those. The food was nasty, no seasoning at all and the beef was not cut up fajita style at all it was big chunks of beef. They been busier than that when I visited before and I had no problems. It seems that everyone was off their A game that day. Now I can say my 6 year old spilled her water and they had to come clean that up, so I’m not sure if that has something to do with the way we were treated but it’s unacceptable. It was an innocent accident from a child. I still left a tip just to be generous, even though I feel one wasn’t deserved.
