Restored, old-school deli vibe. Quick service. Somewhat limited menu, but enjoyed a sandwich. The truffle parmesan fries with garlic aioli are worth the upgrade – they were the best!

I came to Big Spring to meet with a couple of the groups that I manage in Big Spring. Everyone recommended I stay at Hotel Settles and check out the grille. I went for breakfast and since I was in a bit of a rush I just got the French toast and boy was it good. Melissa my server was the sweetest. I just loved her upbeat and positive attitude so early in the morning.

Talk about horrible food. Could not even eat breakfast here so over cooked and didn’t even get what I ordered. Ordered the Big Texan Breakfast, eggs were overcooked and no cheddar, menu says cheddar scrambled eggs. Toast is burnt as well and just plain white bread not sourdough. Wife had biscuit and gravy, the biscuits were super dry and the gravy is salty and add on $4 eggs that were ordered over easy and guess what also over cooked med/hard. Only thing that came out okay was the waffle. We just left the food on the table and told the waitress sorry but what a disappointment. Went to Tita’s instead for a great breakfast. Would rather eat a free hotel breakfast than Settles Grill

For the price, I expected amazing food… It was the worst chicken fried steak I’ve ever had. For $18, it needs to be more than hospital food, it was cold and tiny portions.. will not go back

We had a wonderful experience eating here. Both the brunch and dinner options were great. Our wait staff did an excellent job giving quality service. The charm that this restaurant has being in a historic place like the Settles Hotel can’t be compared to any other location in West Texas. There was plenty of setting, but I would recommend making a reservation for your convenience. This hotel stays booked and the grill can fill up very quickly.

Very fancy vibe. Staff was attentive and helpful even if not very welcoming. Food looked fancy but was mediocre tasting.

I am pleased to say, everyone and every restaurant can have a bad day. My last review reflects that. I was back this morning for breakfast and coffee. I am happy to give a good recommendation and return to 4 stars. The food was prepared fresh, the order was correct, and the service was again exceptional. The management even came by to ensure that everything was right and that I was enjoying my time in the restaurant.

The interior is reminiscent of fine dining in the art deco age. The food however left a lot to be desired. The chicken fried steak is thin and tough. The batter was bland and overcooked. The pepper gravy was from a package.
