When I stopped by the restaurant this evening, I found a closure notice posted by the County of Santa Clara Department of Environmental Health. I presume the restaurant will reopen after they correct the issues.
The report dated today at the County website says: Inspector Observations: FOUND DEAD COCKROACHES IN THE FOLLOWING AREAS: ON THE FOOD PREP TABLE NEAR THE 3 COMPARTMENT SINK, ON DISHES UNDER THE CENTER FOOD PREP TABLE, ON THE FOOD PREP TABLE AT THE SUSHI BAR.

Overall, a good place to dine. The tonkatsu was delicious, and the sashimi set we ordered was also quite good. However, the beef skewer appetizer arrived at the very end, which was disappointing, and it wasn’t great in terms of taste.

i come here often for lunch and dinner, love the vibe and the food, my favorite is the fish cutlet curry rice, and the seto bento is a really great lunch option. i prefer the kitchen or grill items here over the sushi items. soups, currys, teriyaki, etc but that’s just me try whatever looks good

The restaurant is located in the Sunnyvale neighborhood not that busy in the weekend night. The owner is friendly and polite ask around the table to see if you need anything else. Everything is good with reasonable prices. Will definitely be back.

Everything was very good and the server was really nice! The ordering system is good! You can tell which dishes were ordered by whom on the receipt, and I think this place is really good for group dining!

Enjoyed my meal here. The staff is very kind and attentive. We tried their set meal for two people and goodness it could’ve fed an extra person comfortably. We got there when they opened and there was not much people so go early when they open and you’ll be good to go. They appeared to have a good sake and drink selection I did not partake but will try it next time around!

Came in late but had delicious large traditional dinners for four of sushi, katsu curry (2), salmon teriyaki, appetizers, and drinks (unlike Japan, we took home lots of leftovers). Very prompt and friendly service (like Japan).

The staff was so nice and helpful . Shrimp was not washed therefore i didnt eat it. I personally did not enjoy the food made my stomach hurt for 3 days.
