I appreciate their authentic and HALAL Mexican food so much. I’m so glad I discovered this place. I keep coming back for their delicious enchiladas and elote. The portion size is very filling and I always have leftovers to take back home. Their staff is very friendly and attentive as well, upkeeping a neat and tidy atmosphere.

Food is ok. Could’ve been better. The chicken in tacos was very hard looked like it was not fresh n was old. There’s not much flavor in anything unless you add hot sauce etc. Service is good the server was respectful n quick.

Like some of the other reviewers have said, the food is good especially for the inexpensive prices but the service is not the best. You seat yourself and pick up the menus yourself too. No one really greets you when you walk in. I’ve seen some people come in for order pick up and being ignored. Free chips and salsa brought to your table. I got the baby steak burrito ($9.99), super burrito dinner ($13.99), and birria tacos with cheese. When you check out and ask for your bill, make sure you check what was rung up on your bill and ask for confirmation or an itemized receipt. The orders are entered when you ask for the bill and only the total amount is entered on a separate machine to pay. I have been here a previous time where they added extra items to my bill and I had to ask for them to be removed. If it weren’t for the inexpensive prices, I’m not sure if I would come back. They do have a sign that says their food is halal. A lot of people getting to go orders as well. It can get crowded in some weekdays during lunch but typically no wait time.

I have been coming here for 3 years and finally writing a review. This is the place for tacos, I have been to mexico multiple times, been to plenty of other known good taco spots in the US. They just don’t compete. I don’t know what it is but the flavors here are just punchy in each bite, although the sauces seem generic when added to the taco especially the green guac sauce they make the tacos elevated to a different level and the value proposition of this food is also great. The only thing I wish they could sort out is their service, just one server has been working there this whole time she needs help and they need to open later into the night, tacos are late night food just doesn’t make sense.

Authentic Mexican food. Everything on their menu is delicious. Eating taco bell after this is like eating plain rice after eating biryani.

Food was amazing. Atmosphere was awesome – got Latin music playing in the background – Hermano cooking the food – you know it’s gonna smack. Amazing service. They also had those plastic cups and sauce cups that every great restaurant has. Will def come here again. Try their birria tacos – the shredded steak tastes very similar to Indian style Nihari.

Food was great. Within 10-15 min of ordering our food was sizzling at our table. We ordered a variety of things from the chichimanga, taco dinner, steak dinner, and more. Also had a side of elotes and chicken tamales.
Everything was very tasty for a Halal Mexican restaurant.
The only thing that perturbed me was the automatic 20% gratuity. Almost 34$ for gratuity. I can see for a place with the right ambience and exceptional food in somewhere downtown Chicago with a view but not for a small restaurant with really no space to enjoy the meal.
