Selah restaurant is absolutely a gem of a place. The history of the building being a bank at one time makes for a unique dining experience. They do have a very big table inside the vault that you can reserve for special occasions. It’s a fun room & perfect for a private group celebration. Service is extremely exceptional & definitely adds to the experience. They have delicious dinner choices & also make their own cakes w/display case right when you walk in the door. Be sure to splurge a little & add a slice of perfection to your meal. I adore this place & is a favorite stop for me. It’s a romantic spot for those couples who love special places. They also have a theatre room upstairs and offer dinner & theatre.

My wife and I decided to stop here for our first time on a whim (we didn’t know you pretty much have to have a reservation). But we were able to sit at the bar and eat! The only way to describe the food and atmosphere is fantastic!! Our appetizer (warm olives) was seasoned just right. I had the Coq Au Vin and the garlic mashed potatoes. I could cut the chicken with the side of my fork and tasted amazing! My wife had the Pan roasted salmon with rice. The salmon was cooked perfectly and a very generous portion too! We didn’t have dessert but heard we missed out on it from several people in a food group I’m in. If you like bourbon, I recommend you have Trish make you a Buffalo Trace old fashioned!! It’s the best one I’ve had around here. Now that this place is on our radar, we will definitely come back!!

Not a great experience. I came with a large group. My crab cake was frozen halfway through, and that was my main meal. I wasn’t offered anything else or even remake it. Another person in our group had undercooked meatballs. She even knew when I was going to tell her it was frozen. She barely apologized and acted like it was a favor for her to take the meal off my check. The cake was bland. The best part of the meal was the honey feta and the atmosphere. This was my first experience, and I will not be returning.

We had our daughter’s baby shower here and everything was perfect! Brian and Theresa went out of their way to ensure that our food was delicious and ready exactly when we were! Our guests who had not been here before were impressed with the ambience provided by the renovated old bank building, including its original teller windows, wall and ceiling effects and vault room, where we stored the gifts, but which can be also be used for a creative small-group dining experience. We have brought several guests here for lunch or dinner on more “ordinary” days, and Selah has always come through with its tasty food (especially its one-of-a-kind cakes), dependable service and unique atmosphere. Classic jazz and swing playing quietly in the background enhances the experience. The restaurant also has dinner theater and distinctive summer alley parties featuring local talent. We highly recommend making the drive slightly off the beaten path to Selah!

When you spin the wheel of “what to eat for dinner tonight?” be sure to add Selah to that list! We came here for something new to try based off a referral from my cousin. First off, the atmosphere is quaint and warm yet vibrant at the same time. There is a great mix of old history and new decor. The service was exceptional and the staff all seemed to work very well together!
Now onto the stuff that most people actually care about… the food.
Appetizers were the meat and cheese plate and the whipped feta with honey. The meat and cheese plate was good, but let’s be honest, it’s a meat and cheese plate. BUT the whipped feta with honey was exceptional! Imagine a honey drizzled cheesecake, minus the whole cake setting.
For dinner I got the Niagara Falls Walleye with asparagus and it was cooked perfectly. Sauteed in a brown butter sauce and very flaky yet not crumbly. My wife got the gnocchi and meatballs with ricotta. All of which are make in house! The meatballs are tender yet they don’t disintegrate in the sauce. The gnocchi definitely holds it’s own with a great texture!
Dessert was their made in house banana salted caramel cake and the French vanilla cake. Both of which were good but the banana salted caramel stole the show by far.
All in all we had a good experience and will be back! A solid 8.2!

Honestly, not much I can say other than, try it! You won’t be sorry! I don’t know how they do it! Always a delight and the food, service, and atmosphere is just all delightful to the soul! Homemade pasta, breads, and cakes made in house every day! Wednesday is gnocchi day with different kinds of gnocchi to choose from and dinner is so popular, you probably should make reservations before you go! You won’t be disappointed with their music and shows too. Def follow them on social media!

My first mistake was trying to eat seafood and fish, or be super healthy, at a restaurant that is known for their bakery, espresso, martinis, and wine. However, the service was amazing, the atmosphere was wonderful! Next time I go, I will order appropriately & review again.
