I had French onion soup. It was delicious. Lots of cheese! And loaded corn bread with honey butter served hot still in the skillet! I also ordered the veggie burger. I asked what was in the burger the waiter said garbanzo beans #allergygirl I thought great I can eat those! But when it came there were lots of other things in there (I know my fault for not being more detailed in my questioning). The waiter could not offer any details even after going to the kitchen. Better safe than sorry I decided not to eat it. The waiter made it easy by taking it off my bill.

This was our first time here and definitely not our last. Terrific food and cocktails and such nice people. Duvall provided great service and helped us celebrate my son’s birthday. What a special place.

Top 3 crabcake I’ve ever had, and I eat a LOT of crabcakes. This is what you call a LUMP crabcake, no filler. They look small but I could only eat one because it is full of crab. The salmon was also top tier. My husband raved about the fried grits. Oh, and the shrimp appetizer was perfect. Jamie was our server and she was excellent. I wish we lived closer but we stumbled across this place when we left Bush Gardens. It was amazing!

Very comfortable, friendly places with tasty food. Our server, Brianne, was excellent: attentive but no hovering. She let us talk and eat and she took care of business. Nice atmosphere, loved that there were not screens everywhere. Portion size was plentiful and we should’ve had some to take home but couldn’t resist gobbling everything down (my husband helped me with my Virginia jambalaya, which is pictured).

Second Street an American Bistro was delicious. The service was great. The Christmas decorations were nice and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Pictured: Thai Shrimp Appetizer, 2nd St Pasta, 2nd St Burger with lettuce wrap, side salad and caramel apple cheesecake

We had an exceptional dining experience at 2nd St. American Bistro!

From start to finish, our evening at 2nd St. American Bistro in Williamsburg was outstanding. The atmosphere was warm, inviting, and just upscale enough to make the night feel special without being stuffy.

Our server, Duval, was absolutely fantastic—friendly, knowledgeable, and perfectly attentive without hovering. He made great recommendations and really added to the overall experience.

The Old Fashioned I started with was very enjoyable. I ordered the bison meatloaf, and it was phenomenal—rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The texture was tender, and the seasoning hit all the right notes. The accompanying sides (mashed potato and steamed broccoli) were fresh and thoughtfully prepared, rounding out one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time.

Between the excellent food, top-notch service, and relaxing ambiance, 2nd St. American Bistro delivers on every level. It’s easy to see why this is one of Williamsburg’s local favorites. I’ll definitely be back—and asking for Duval again!

This place NEVER disappoints! I had the fig and bacon flatbread pizza. I know it sounds weird, but it’s divine! The combination of savory and sweet is *chef’s kiss*. Their brownie sundae dessert was also amazing. Although I didn’t indulge in any libations during this visit, Second Street serves an amazing old-fashioned.

On the way home from Richmond we stopped in 2nd Street Bistro for a late lunch and our first visit. We thoroughly enjoyed the delicious food and excellent service provided by Alex F.! From beginning, Absolutely Mango beverage, to end, Churro Donuts everything was very well prepared and served! Hubs ordered the Grilled Bison Meatloaf with demi-glaze, mashed potatoes and broccoli which was all so tasty! I could only eat half of my smoked brisket dip with a side of their smoked Gouda grits cake even though they were top notch! The au jus put the smoked brisket dip over the top in deliciousness! Looking forward to the yummy leftovers tonight! We definitely recommend 2nd Street Bistro and appreciate the manager stopping by to inquire on our experience! We’d also be very happy to have Alex’s exceptional service in the future!

I had a lovely evening at 2nd street bistro. And the experience was made wonderful by our server, Alex. He made great suggestions and was attentive. I enjoyed the chicken lettuce wrap. It had great flavor, a kick of spice, and was a great portion size.

My family visited this restaurant 3/7 and were kinda disappointed. The reviews online looked promising however, once the food arrived it was a disappointment.

I started with the a cranberry orange mule which was good and my wife ordered the “bees knees”. My wife’s drink was overly sweet and had an earthy taste.

Dinner was started with the fondue pretzel which was honestly the best thing. Me and my wife had the 2nd Street Burger which, on paper, looked great but was severely under seasoned. The onion rings, which were recommend, were not seasoned either and were slightly undercooked.

On top of this, the waiter took a significant amount of time in between their status checks.. Thankfully the waiter himself was very respectful which didn’t make it as bad.

Overall, we were probably better off getting food at a chain restaurant. Won’t be recommending this place to friends or family.
