Wish they didn’t have a radio station playing hip hop music.. would have been better with Portuguese music.. but the food and service was excellent

Very good seafood, good wine and good service with a smile. Post COVID, very, very difficult to park in neighborhood or book a same day reservation. Even the local paid parking is usually full. Probably best to come on a weeknight, but the seafood is always fresh, the fried potatoes are crispy and the grilled vegetables are delicious. Worth the wait, just plan ahead.

See post on parking, once you arrive it’s an authentic Portuguese restaurant, the ambiance is being at home with family. The decor is very simple don’t expect anything fancy. Service is excellent, lots of food, the serving is more than what you can handle, and it’s all worth it. They serve, sangria, beer. Desserts are yummy, i love the chocolate mousse.

Family friendly and great for large groups. They are very accommodating and super friendly! My family and I had a wonderful and DELICIOUS experience. From the fresh hot bread, clams, sardines, paella, octopus and bacalao! Very authentic Portuguese food and the dessert. Highly recommend coming here!

A very good place to eat seafood. Tried salmon steak and it was delicious . I can recommend fried sardines and garlic shrimp too, very good. Parking is free next to the place which helps in Newark (believe me;) Prices are well balanced for the quality and quantity of food on the table. I highly recommend this place.

Initially, we had reservations at PortuCale Restaurant & Bar & when we arrived, a waiter told us to wait in the corner until a server could seat us. After waiting and not being seated, we called Seabra, and they were accommodating and let us know their closing times. We arrived at Seabra, and the parking was cheap. Seabra does a beautiful job with staffing, and I love that they all help each other. Besides the excellent servers, the food is the most delicious and Fulling meal I’ve had in a long time and worth the price. Overall it was a vibe, and I’ll be back!

Yes go here. I mean this place brought me back to a seafood market down the Jersey shore. Atmosphere was super laid back but service was fine dining. I had the octopus salad which was absolutely on point. Then I had the grilled black sea bass which was exquisitely cooked. Honestly everything was perfect the protein was the star in each dish and they obviously served the best of the best. Lastly, it’s simple and not sweet but the traditional cheese they serve for dessert is delicious. I’d say a lil honey drizzle and some fresh fruit would make this a better dessert but still the cheese itself A+.

Seabra’s is one of my top ten NJ restaurants, been visiting here for over 25 years. The staff, food and atmosphere are consistently amazing. Free parking too.
