We were a party of five. One vegetarian in the mix which is myself. It’s not on the menu, but they made a plate of rice and beans , salad and two boiled eggs. We also ordered an abundance of seafood and steak as you can see by the pictures. Service was great. Everything came out in a timely fashion. There’s ample parking. The bathrooms are clean. The music is not too loud so that you can speak. If you love seafood, you’ll love this place.

I’ve been coming to Seabra’s with many different people for 26 years.. Last night we got our favorite spot. It was a busy night. They had forgotten my appetizer and also one of the dishes was confused with a different dish, but something close to it. All I can say is no restaurant is perfect especially on a busy night sometimes things can get shuffled around so we were totally understanding the food never disappoints. We usually have leftovers that we could reheat at least a little bit to get the flavor the next night. Somehow, over all these years, it’s the only spot we go to anymore. To top it off at the end of the meal, the owner said one of these beers are on me..

Found this restaurant on Threads where many people recommended it for its fresh seafood. After some debating, we decided to try the daily special for two. The portion was generous and definitely enough for two people. Overall, everything was great—the flavors were solid, though a bit salty for my taste. The only downside was the oysters and clams with toppings; they were very tiny, which felt a little underwhelming.
That said, the employees were kind and welcoming, and overall it’s worth a try.

Beef rib and dry sea food soup…. Beef rib was chewy and didn’t taste like it was barbecued very little meat … the dry sea food soup was just okay not spectacular I prefer it in the red sauce

I visited with a friend to have few beers and have some appetizers. The service and food were excellent, we had the bacalhau and fried sardines. I’ll definitely be back here ASAP!!

First time here and it won’t be the last this Portuguese restaurant has it all great price for the food and drinks, come with hunger, cause the portion size are big (love it). So all around this restaurant is fantastic. The waiters are very attentive to you. The food is great. Got nothing bad to say about this place. I will be coming back if in the area definitely check it out.

Walked in and felt like I time-traveled to an old-school Portuguese tavern — blue-and-white tiles, vintage bar, super nostalgic vibes.
The bread was amazing: soft and slightly crispy outside.
The sausage wasn’t juicy but super meaty and chewy
The octopus salad was too mushy for me, not the bouncy type — skip if you love a firm texture.
The “acorda de marisco” (seafood bread mash) was the most interesting: super flavorful at first, but got heavy and salty fast. I felt SO thirsty after — likely lots of salt and MSG, so if you prefer light flavors, beware!
The white wine sangria? Recommend. Light, refreshing, balances everything else.

Whenever I’m in Newark, this Portuguese restaurant is a “must”. I’ve been coming here for “28 years”, and it has never let me down. The food is consistently fantastic, and the “octopus salad is the best you’ll ever have” —absolutely incredible! Great seafood restaurant with a lot fish options. Little bit pricier but great location for special occasions. We tried Portuguese cod fish and grilled sole fillet with butter lemon sauce. Pictures attached. Portions are really huge and enough for two people.

I can promise you, the food, service and drinks all make up for it.
The prices are responsible and the portions are family style. Seriously, if there are four people, only order for three.
Get some apps!!!! Lots of great apps.
Then get a few dishes.
Order up some cocktails and enjoy.
The staff is awesome. Great recommendations that are not the most expensive thing on the menu, but the really good family style food.
