10/10 experience. Every dish I had was amazing and a flavor bomb. Can’t wait to come back and try the rest of the menu! For appetizers I loved the scallop and for entrees, I loved the dry noodles and pork belly! The only thing I didn’t love was the fried rice but that’s only because everything else was so much more flavorful.

Service was kinda slow overall — probably because of Restaurant Week — but honestly the vibe made up for it. The place is beautifully designed and had a great atmosphere. We got there around 8 PM and it was packed.

The Restaurant Week menu was solid, easy 8/10. Portions were generous, definitely left full. You can tell the owners really put heart into the place, which I respect.

Highlights for me: the tuna carpaccio seriously exceeded expectations, and the beef sauce noodles had amazing flavor. Overall, we left happy and I’d definitely go back.

For all the hype that this restaurant has online, it definitely fell short of my expectations. The tartare was pretty good but a little over seasoned, the Thai links were decent, and the pork was honestly a little disappointing. Fried rice was a little dry and the mango soft serve left something to be desired.

The chef’s crudo was beautifully balanced — the natural sweetness of the scallop paired seamlessly with the gentle sweetness of corn, lifted by an acidic note softened with coconut cream. Delicate, refreshing, and thoughtfully composed.

I was especially taken by the scallop shell itself, which felt like an extension of the dish — a small but poetic detail. Out of genuine appreciation, I asked whether I might keep it as a souvenir.

What surprised me was learning that ⚠️the shell is reused after washing . While I understand sustainability and operational practices, being made aware of this detail unfortunately broke the illusion one expects from a high-end dining experience.

In fine dining, guests aren’t just paying for flavors, but for a sense of care, intention, and refinement. Sometimes, what is explained matters just as much as what is served.

It’s a small detail, but in a restaurant of this caliber, small details tend to matter most.

Sea by Jungsik honestly feels underrated. It’s such a distinct concept from Jungsik that it could almost stand on its own. The tasting menu really captures Asian flavors in a way that feels warm, familiar, and genuinely comforting—food you could imagine eating multiple times a week.

My favorite dish of the night was the Manila clam; the entire first course lineup was stronger than the mains, in my opinion. The crab was slightly on the dry side and really needed the curry to bring it together, but overall the portions are extremely generous for a $60 tasting—definitely come hungry. The chicken wing add-on was worth it: tender, flavorful, with a great crispy coating. Dessert and drinks were just okay for me.

The standout was the service. Our server, Miller, was truly one of the best I’ve had in NYC—attentive, communicative, and genuinely warm.

I’d easily come back!

Came for my friend’s bday. They put a candle on the ice cream sundae we ordered. Everything was pretty good!

– Scallop crudo ($23): 8/10
– Prawn roll ($23): 11/10, def get!
– Crab fried rice ($22): 7/10, had higher expectations
– Dry tom yum noodles ($23): 7/10
– Morning glory ($16): 5/10, yep just veggies xD
– Crispy pork belly ($41): 9/10, so yummy!
– Coconut sundae ($14): 7/10, creamy, but I’m not a huge fan of coconut lol

I was surprised to see the low average rating because the food was excellent. Each dish had unique flavors, and my friends and I really enjoyed our meal.

The crispy pork was perfectly crunchy outside and tender inside, the rib plate paired beautifully with the tangy coriander salad, and the crab rice was a standout.
We were very satisfied and would definitely come back to try more dishes.

The dessert is a must-try — it was absolutely heavenly!

All the food we had was tasty and the service was attentive without being overbearing. Standout dishes were the crispy pork and seafood curry. It was a bit on the pricy side, but definitely worth checking out!

Came for restaurant week and I would say the food was okay but the service was a mess. There was a huge crowd of people at the door and it was impossible to check in for our table. Once we sat down it was quite a while before anyone came over with a menu or water, and throughout the night it continued to be tough to get attention for water. They brought someone else’s check and credit card to our table, and then were confused when I asked for our check. The food might’ve been better but by the time it reached our table a lot of it was lukewarm. I had higher expectations for the price point
