I had a service appointment for my motorbike and decided afterwards to head to the lake. I’ve never been there before and I was starving. The place was packed as it was almost 90° by the time I arrived. But fortunately the bar area, half indoor / outdoor space was open seating.
I was greeted almost immediately and asked what I was drinking. Water with lemon arrived soon.
Good menu. I was torn between a Ruben and the fish and chips. My waitress suggested the latter. Spot on. Not greasy. Generous portion. Not being a fry guy, but they were very tasty, also not greasy. Good slaw as well.
Very nice atmosphere. Busy of course because of the lake. Tons of boaters.
NOTE: the restaurant is literally floating. I was told that on windy days that it can actually bother some with a tendency to get sea sickness. Also there are steps to get to the restaurant level from the parking lot. Lots of them. But there’s also little team cars up and back.
Next time I’ll bring a suit. Or rent a kayak. Rentals available.

Scorpion Bay Grill at Lake Pleasant was such a great surprise! The views alone make it worth the visit, but the food really delivered too. We started with the bacon jam flatbread, which was packed with flavor and perfectly crispy definitely a must-try. The chicken strips were fresh, juicy, and well-seasoned, making them way better than your typical “grill” chicken. For dessert, the apple churro was the perfect finish: warm, sweet, and just the right amount of indulgent. Add in the relaxed lakeside atmosphere and friendly service, and it’s an awesome spot to eat while enjoying the water. We’ll definitely be back!

Although this is the only restaurant in the area they do a great job with the food. It was well portioned and tasty. Everyone liked their meal. We came on mother’s day, so we had to wait for about 30 minutes. They also had a performer, but I’m not sure if this is typical. When we come back for the water sports in the area we will grab a bite here afterwards.

Access the pier by using the tram (free) or stairs. Usually around 100 but can change as water level rises or falls. I always count them ♀️.
Hours change seasonally so check their website before going.
Casual/no dress code.
Inside seating & Outside seating (with sun shade).
Menu has a variety of food. Appetizers, entrees, desserts. Those items are pretty much set, but many times there is an added chef’s specials menu. Assorted beverages and alcohol.
Great views.
This is one of our absolute favorite places to go. We frequently go October-April for slightly cooler temps. They do have a mist system for hotter days and heaters for cold days. They really know what they’re doing. The food is delicious and the wait staff friendly.
Don’t know about you, but I feel so relaxed near water. Takes the stress right out.

What an experience! Our server named Talia was friendly, knowledgeable great. The food was like none we’ve ever experienced. Poke was over the top and the presentation was phenomenal! I ordered blackened tuna sandwich with onion rings. The tuna was cooked and seasoned perfectly. My husband ordered the fish and chips that were delicious! Can’t leave h This review without mentioning the VIEWS!!! Priceless!

THE GOOD: The setting, view and overall vibe are on point. Very good service and really loved the Ruben sandwich and Caesar salad. The prices are really fair considering the location.
THE BAD: I mistakenly thought they had live music on Fridays… but unfortunately it’s only on Saturdays.
BOTTOM LINE: Great place for a lunch or dinner right on the water!

Decided to go for a hike atLake Pleasant. We stopped in at scorpion Bay Grill the place was very busy with a lot of tourist this time of year however we were able to get seating at the bar. The waitress staff was very friendly and attentive. They also didn’t seem precious about which waitress was supporting which table. We were approached by about three different waitresses all wanted to make sure that we have been helped and that we were doing OK. I was very impressed because as busy as they were, they were still Very customer service oriented. We ordered the wings at first and they were yummy. We later ordered the sliders which were undercooked and the meat did not taste fresh. When the waitress noticed, we were not eating them. She quickly responded and took them back. She recommended the Ruben, which we ordered next and it was very delicious. The views were amazing you could see Lake Pleasant clearly. And again the staff were amazing. Highly recommend this location.
