Scoop Dawg’s on Vine is hands-down one of the best spots in Cincinnati for real Caribbean flavor. The owner runs the entire restaurant, and you can taste the passion and authenticity in every dish. Pretty legit ox tail, rice and peas, and cabbage. Good service. I’d like it with a tad more seasoning but ox tail is hard to come by.

Probably the best Jamaican food I’ve ever had. We got takeout for my birthday. Big portions. We got curried goat, Curry chicken, and jerked chicken. Yeah we ate a lot. The gravy was absolutely stellar! Service was friendly, and the people and the owner are just really nice. The flavor is absolutely authentic. I would be sad that I ate all of mine but then I remembered that I got extra. Is it okay to eat Jamaican food for breakfast? Yeah I think that’s okay. We are customers for life.
I updated our review, as we got 2/27/23, goat curry!!! Brah, ain’t nothing better!!! We could hardly walk after our meal. Oh, and jerked pork…my man’s got smokers out back, …there is no better Jamaican food anywhere…oh, and rice and peas and his cabbage (provisions)…fire!

I’ve been going to this man for some years now! I will always get my jerk chicken from here. And it’s so cheap and he gives me so much for my money if your ever in Elmwood stop in oh and have cash he doesn’t take cards although there is an atm inside.

When I tell you the food is phenomenal I mean phenomenal! The ox tail that is served on friday and saturdays is sooo good, as well as the jerk chicken. For the sides the green beans (string beans) is the best I have ever had. My boyfriend and I have ate here several times now and we have never been disappointed. The workers are really nice, as well, and for the price you are given A LOT of food. As in it lasts me a couple of meals throughout the week. I truly recommend this place, it deserves to get so much more business.
