I have been coming to this place for years. I have always enjoyed my experience until recently. I’ve noticed on my last three visits that the quality of service and food has rapidly deteriorated. Today was just the icing on the proverbial cake. I ordered a turkey and avocado with triple swiss and a cup of baked potato soup. The bun, which is to die for, yes, the famous Schlotzsky’s bun looked like a piece of soggy garbage extricated from the waste can. It was so thin that you could literally pick it up and see through one half of it. The meat was cut into thick slices, when it is usually sliced paper thin for a real good taste and delicate texture. I mean, we can’t bother the staff with taking the time to make the sandwich to Schlotzsky’s standards, right? We’ve got our smartphones and texting to deal with. The baked potato soup was cold and was garnished with hacked up stubs of leftover onion tops. They couldn’t even cut the onions correctly, indicating a total lack of pride. ( Let’s just slap the hogs boys, they’ll buy it! ) don’t even ask me about whether or not I got swiss cheese, let alone extra. When asked about the buns, one of the workers replied that they just come in that way depending on who they buy them from! I thought Schlotzsky’s buns were exclusive to Schlotzsky’s, not farmed out to different bakeries. They must think I’m stupid. We let our expectations down with increasing frequency. How many of us go out to chain restaurants and chalk up a meal like this as,” oh well, it’s just the way it is”. Well, maybe it’s just the way it is, but I’m going to let the world know about it because I am pissed! I left $23 worth of food on the table and walked out in digust. I called the management team in Atlanta to complain about it, and to his or her credit, I got an email from the manager who wanted to give me a freebie to go back in. My point is if you can’t train your employees properly and be on site to manage them and oversee the operation, it’s really not their fault it’s yours. Here’s another case and classic example of some wealthy individual purchasing a franchise and just expecting the money to roll in with no follow-up, no quality control, and no effort put forth. I don’t want a freebie from the manager. I just wanted a good sandwich because I waited all day long to eat there and passed up many restaurants on the way. In the food business you better do it right 100% of the time. Word gets around. I gave this place three shots, and they blew it three times. Hey manager, I’m not coming back and the sad part is I’ve been going there for years. You should lose your job.

We ordered via the drive thru close to closing time. They had already put away their soups and were limited on items. Service was very slow and we were the only car – waited around 10 minutes for everything. Our order was correct and everything was good.

Rhis place can be pretty good, if you’re looking for healthy options, they can just be pretty expensive. I got a full salad, however and it was huge for the huge price tag they put on it. They were pretty good about minimal plastic waste, I just wish I had known they would give me my salad dressing in a plastic disposable cup, otherwise I would have specified differently. I don’t like to create extra waste to pollute the earth when I don’t have to :(. In a previous experience, we have ordered water from them, trying to opt for something cheaper, and they rung up expensive water bottles for us. Not happy that time. 🙁

The service was very speedy and friendly. The food (Italian calzone) was hot and smelled so good. Tasted even better.

We were on a trip and needed somewhere to grab and go. We used the drive thru. I was going to order a sandwich but they ran out of onions. My wife and I opted to instead order a simple cheese pizza and share it on the way to our next destination. It was good. It could have used a little more sauce but all in all good for a fast food sandwich shop.

We stopped there after work for dinner and lunch for the next day. We got 2 calzonez and 2 sandwiches. For as long as it took to get our food, it was pretty weird that the bread in all of it wasn’t fully cooked. We had our calzones for dinner and had to put them in the oven to cook more. I didn’t think to do the same with my sandwich, and when i went to eat it at work the next day, it was awful, so i just threw it away.

Ordered online for pickup in store. Upon arriving for pick up the associate informed me they changed my order from pastrami to roast beef because they were out of pastrami. Fine. My wife ordered a French dip and that came with the same roast beef. We were unable to chew the meat. Even used kitchen scissors to cut the meat into bite size pieces. Rubber. Threw away $20 sandwiches.
