I come back every couple of years because I really want them to be good but I guess their beer followers keep their ratings up because the food is just not good. The only exception is the sticky toffee pudding. So if beer & dessert is all you want, it’s fine.

Kara and the staff are absolutely amazing. It seems like every night they have something fun going on at the brewery for everyone to do. It’s a great reason to get out of the house and I love the atmosphere. Food is always spot on service is excellent bathrooms are clean. You can tell they care what they do here.

We lovely Schlafly!! The food is a 4 but everything else about this place is a 5! We love the community markets they participate in. Their beer is fantastic. We had the Southwest salad which was very good but the goat cheese pizza was a miss. We thought with the caramelized onions and apple it would have a bit of a sweet flavoring but it was really bland and the chili flakes were really strong. The crust was a little burnt which really left the whole pizza just tasting like crust.
Unfortunately, we dug right in so I was a bit late with the pics that’s why they are close ups.

We had the pleasure of attending the Oyster Fest event. While the crowd was substantial, the experience was worthwhile. The oysters were delectable, and the local beers were of high quality. The live band provided a pleasant ambiance during the meal. However, securing parking and finding a table proved to be challenging. Despite these minor inconveniences, we eagerly anticipate returning next year. If you plan to attend this event, I recommend arriving early to ensure a smooth experience.

Schlafly’s is always a solid pick for a good time. There was a market in the parking lot, the pavilion is a great place to hang out, and the music was great. It was Halloween weekend, so there were all sorts of events.

My friends and I are into craft beers, so Schlafly always hits the mark there. Food was good, but I felt like it was a bit more limited than in the past when it was a remarkably solid menu for a brew pub. Still great though.

Edit: February 2026. I’m sad they no longer offer the cheddar beer soup. It was my favorite. The fish plate was good as the fish was fried with a beer batter that is so appropriate for the setting. I liked my house salad also.

Previous Comments: I enjoyed the flavors of the cheese beer soup I ordered. We had a terrific waiter. I think I would have like it more if the soup was served with a slice of their homemade bread.
I was disappointed in the fried cheese bites. I had in my mind that it would be like fried cheese curds, but these were made from a hot cheese like pepper Jack.
We tried the toffee pudding for desert. Very large serving with good flavor.

A nice, large Brewery with a taproom. The patio is nice. There are two sections of it. One claims to be non-smoking (and is covered with a roof), while the other allows smoking. The unfortunate problem is that smoke from the smoking area quickly overtakes the “non-smoking” area, so really the designation is meaningless.

There is a decent beer selection. The pumpkin ale and dortmunder were particularly good. Prices were reasonable. There is a nice food menu, although I did not have any food.

The decor is impressive. There is a decent sized gift shop with swag, including glassware, shirts, hats and bottle-openers. You can also purchase 6 packs and cases of many of their beers.

Large parking lots (free parking).

Service was moderately slow, but friendly.

The do offer flights of beer (5 tasters included for $11).

Come here for the smash burger, beer, and the scene. I’ve been coming here for years to enjoy the outdoor dining and live music. Service is consistent and attentive. Don’t fool yourself into thinking that you can get a healthy meal. Just get a beer and a burger and then this place is perfect. I love the hazy IPA’s. They actually had two on tap from which to choose. Cute gift shop with t-shirts and trucker hats to advertise this music friendly community oriented local brewer. Definitely recommend and will return. I don’t recommend the pretzel stick appetizer. It was an indulgence and lacked flavor. The smash burger, however, was fantastic.

Visited from out of town, came back 3 more times!!! This place is absolutely phenomenal. The staff are super friendly, the beer options are great, but WOW the food is impeccable. They have authentic shepherds pie that’s amazing. The atmosphere is welcoming. Cool gift shop. I recommend this place to everyone. THE BREAD PUDDING IS THE BEST!!

First time here, was fun. Food was good – cole slaw especially. Fun atmosphere – kind of loud for an old guy like me, but otherwise good. Enjoyed seeing families with their little kids out having a fun dinner.
