Went for a conference with a group. They did a pretty amazing job of serving our large group and the food was delicious. The fish sandwich was huge too. Good stuff. Busy place on a fall Sunday afternoon and they still did amazing with everything. I’m impressed.

We had Tessa as our server, initially was attentive but then after our food was delivered it is as if we were non existent. Didn’t check in how our food was and the worst part was not refilling our coffee. When you pay $3.99 for a cup of coffee it would be nice to drink more than just one cup. Other servers have been great but this is the second time I’ve had Tessa and her service has been sub par. My friend and I that sometimes go here because of the convenient location for us, will be looking for another place in the future.

We stopped at the Sawmill Inn last weekend after church with our kids, and it was the best dining experience we have had in a long time! I had a chicken wrap meal, my husband had a tenderloin meal, and our three kids each got chocolate chip pancake meals. All of the food was very good, but those pancakes were the BEST pancakes that I have ever had! I am not even a breakfast food person and the couple of bites I had made me realize that when we go back in a few weeks, that’s what I’ll be getting. The bill was only $58 for five meals, and we brought some of it home for dinner. The staff was great, the atmosphere was great, and the food was excellent! To top it all off, it is a veteran owned business.

Where has THIS gem been since we moved to Wisconsin?! The only reason we haven’t found it sooner is likely the 30 min drive from home but I can assure you it is TOTALLY worth the drive!! The food is very tasty, the portions generous yet the vibe is relaxed Northwoods. The staff is friendly and helpful (thank you, Jessica R!).
We had the lake perch: 2 HUGE pieces of lightly breaded perfectly cooked sweet fresh water perch. I honestly didn’t think you could find lake perch on on a menu let alone a huge portion at a beyond reasonable price!
The Pot Roast Sandwich was SO good, I feel like an dope for never thinking to make one at home!
As for beverages, beer & wine are available but we stayed NA with a Diet Coke & an unsweetened tea, that my DH proclaimed the best he’s EVER had!
We were too full to sample from their pie menu but the giant PB cookies looked too amazing to pass up so we took 3 home. And we had ALL of that for about $50. What?! We’re already planning our next visit. Do NOT miss The Sawmill Inn!

I’ve been going here for years and the food is always fresh and tasty. Just like home cooking with a great relaxed atmosphere! What restaurant has fishing shows playing? This one! It’s wonderful and you are missing out if you don’t give it a try! You wil not be disappointed!

This is one of the coziest and cute restaurants I’ve ever been in. The food was good. The portions were pretty big. I think maybe they were overwhelmed with rush of customers as it was 12:15. Our waitress was very friendly and personable. Our orders were messed up and forgetting someone’s actual breakfast. I am sure maybe would have realized eventually if we didn’t say anything. Not sure if it was the wait staff’s mistake or kitchen. That is the only reason I gave 4 stars for service. Breakfast anytime which is great! Many menu options. This is a great place. Always a great experience. I had the fish sandwich on sourdough bread, it was delicious and a good portion size for the cost. My companion had a salad, as she is vegetarian, and they made accommodations to the salad to customize it for her, as normally they come with an animal protein. Our meal was mid-afternoon, so it was not crowded at all and our conversation could be carried out without loudness issue. Their dessert selection is also great, and the pies taste very close to homemade. 4 stars because I always leave room for improvement.

My family loves this place! We have been coming here for many years. The food and service never disappoint.
I love the quiche for breakfast or lunch. The Salmon salad or Salmon entree are more of my favorites on the menu for dinner as well as the soups ,sandwiches, burgers. Let’s not forget the desserts and ice cream!

We hadn’t been here in a couple of years, but we were glad we came back. Very charming decor, warm colors and rustic looking tables and chairs.
They serve breakfast all day, and have an extensive menu of other items to choose from.
Our waitress was polite and kept checking back to see if we needed anything.
Food was very good with large portions.
Definitely going to make it back here real soon.

On Sunday, December 21st, our family of 7 went to The Sawmill Inn for dinner. We had 3:00 p.m. reservations and were seated at 2:45. It was a delightfully, delicious time.
The atmosphere was relaxing, music playing in the background, and conversations were easily heard. George Boggs, himself came out and greeted us upon our arrival and also checked on us several times during the meal. The wait staff was friendly and accommodating. The plentiful menu had choices for both breakfast and dinner, and both were chosen. The delicious potato soup and chili were served 1st and piping hot, followed by our entrees. My daughter and I had the Sawmill Chicken Wrap with a side of crispy cole slaw that had the perfect amount of dressing. The wrap tasted like heaven and we brought half of our wrap home for lunch the next day. Two of our family members do not eat meat and enjoyed their meatless breakfasts, especially with sides of fresh fruit and raw veggies.
To finish the meal, George Boggs had made a chocolate cake with chocolate frosting, which arrived with candles.
It was a perfect experience. I give it 5 stars all around.
