By far the best Japanese steak house in the whole area. Possibly my favorite restaurant in Youngstown! Prices are very fair and the quality of the food is absolutely outstanding! Seafood cooked to perfection… I definitely recommend the shrimp You can add anything on the side to your hibachi meal for a small fee so you can have noodles, extra veggies, even extra egg. Totally customizable and absolutely delicious!!!

The food was decent. I went with my family. We got the chicken hibachi and combination hibachi (shrimp and chicken). It was ok. Needed more seasoning. Just ask for extra hibachi sauce. We got a piña colada and a blue Hawaiian. The piña colada was pretty good, the blue Hawaiian was watered down, more ice than anything. Service was really good and entertaining. The kids ages are from 5 – 14. All were entertained and did pretty good with the food options. They offer noodles for the kids if they don’t want rice.

Went to eat at Sawa Steakhouse, it was around 11:45am, so it was not busy at all.
When we arrived there wasn’t anyone at the door, but we didn’t have to wait long. We were seated and our order was taken immediately.
We order one order of Hibachi steak and chicken and on hibachi steak and shrimp they both came with rice.
The portions were a decent size.

Great hibachi with tons of beverage options the berry breeze was a perfect combo with my hibachi dinner. Portions were large i had to take a box home after sushi isn’t full of rice like some other places. Great place for families to come together and have a meal off the hot grill

This place has rapidly decreased in appeal. Also they seat you behind the chef and completely fill the tables to the max. They do not provide a good hibachi experience when they shove you so close to everyone else and place customers behind the chef so we cannot see or experience anything that is done on the grill. We asked to be moved and they told us no, even though they had 6 empty chef tables.

Had reservations for 6pm when we checked in, she said 15 minutes. Didn’t get seated till 7pm! Then it took another 40 minutes till we got a cook. Food was ok till we got home and we both felt sick. Definitely won’t ever go back

Went to Sawa Hibachi for my father-in-laws 70th birthday party with 13 family members. While we did have a pretty good time and enjoy the food, what we sat down to was completely gross. The staff did try to accommodate us by cleaning with the typical wipe down rag, but it obviously had little to no impact on the greasy marble countertops. Needless to say, everyone pretty much sat their with their hands in their laps to avoid the slimy surface. I’m pretty sure a little Dawn dish soap and water would easily rectify the problem, but it’s like the staff really didn’t care. Using a sterilizer with a dish rag does not clean the surface of grease or oil, it only smears it around. You have to CLEAN the surface with soap/degreaser BEFORE you use the sterilizer. No customer should have to explain this. Our overall experience was a fair/good one however, I don’t see a return to Sawa any time soon.

Everything was wonderful and they kept giving us extra food. It was very fast service and no complaints. All of the workers were very efficient and pleasant. It is a shame that they have recently gotten some bad reviews because they provided a great experience for me and my party of 6. I will be back.
