Sawa’s tapas-centric menu was created to encourage a shareable dining experience. The menu tells a story of where the Near East meets the Far East, and dishes span the realm of tapas, kebabs, and sushi. Food was not bad but place is very small, decor is not good either and it was EXTREMELY NOISY. Our server was nice but he was so lost that I felt terrible asking a question. Nothing memorable about my experience!

Sat at the bar, ordered beer and a Filet Mignon Wrap, the wrap was good, the steak had good flavor, the pita was a little hard and cold for me. The bartender was nice.

My go to stop when I am shopping at Merrick. The variety of options on this menu is unreal. The breakdown of this menu is easy to navigate and delicious. From hummus to sushi to salads. They do a daily happy hour which is incredible starting at 4. And currently they are doing miami spice option I posted the menu until the end of the month (September 30) bathroom is clean and spacious and great mirrors (see pic2) octopus is delicious my first time trying. I usually get hummus sushi and fries. Staff is wonderful. They do have fans outside which is great. They have a huge outdoor space with umbrellas and a small indoor area with a nice bar. To park you can park in the mall shopping garage, street parking or they have a valet in front of Perry’s. Thank you sawa for your consistency and variety!!

We went last Monday July 31st to celebrate a family member’s birthday, service was perfect, everyone was extremely helpful and allowed us to have a great time, the food was just OK. All the appetizers were delicious but most of us ordered seafood risotto, and everyone was disappointed with the actual rice. It would be better if they call it just that, a seafood rice, because that will never be a risotto, the rice was soupy and not properly cooked, the red sauce tasted like spaghetti sauce from a can, the only save was the shrimp and the lobster that were perfectly cooked.

Absolutely in love with Sawa. We only came for apps and drinks but was surprised at how tasty and delicious they were. Some of the best seafood apps I’ve had in Miami. I love that you can actually taste the quality and freshness of the ingredients. I will be back later to fully explore the menu. If appetizers are this good then I can’t wait to taste the mains.

The staff were all very friendly and the food was delicious. The restaurant had a great atmosphere and the tables and chairs were all clean and comfortable. I will say the menu is a bit pricey but worth the money for sure.

For food, came for the Coral Gables Spice and I had the set menu – lobster roll, shrimp lo mein, and tbh a dessert I can’t pronounce but let’s call them delicious cheese empanadas! Portions were excellent and food was tasty. Service – service was awesome, we were always attended to with just the right amount of “is everything okay?” visits from Laura and then Lauren. Water was always filled, plates cleared at the right time, great service. Atmosphere- beautiful vibe, we sat indoors but the outside didn’t look hot because they had powerful fans blasting at every table but we preferred the comfort of AC. Even the manager Aziz stopped by to check on things, everything went well for the duration of our meal and I’m looking forward to future visits and hopefully catching the live shows they have Fri/Sat nights!

What an experience this restaurant is. The food is mouth-watering, and every plate will have you craving the next. The service is also impeccable, no complaints there. The atmosphere and ambience is very solid. Any dinner here will be impressive and more than worth your time and money. This restaurant has my highest recommendation.
