If you want what is easily the best ice cream in Idaho City, you better stop at Sarsaparilla! Between the classic and funky flavors, and the homemade waffle cones, you’re bound to have a peak ice cream experience

The best ice cream shop in Boise County with the best family ownership team in town. Their love for our community is as awesome as the gourmet ice cream they offer.

Used to love this place. They’ve done away with the gift shop. No more waffle cones made in cast iron waffle makers. No more bubble gum balls in the bottom of the cones. And no more Sioux City Sarsaparilla. . Another great place gone.

They have really good waffle cones and ice cream. We stopped here after a long drive from Stanley, ID. It was quite refreshing and nice to sit in the patio. Of course it would have been nicer if certain guests weren’t so selfish in sharing the space!

A delicious find while exploring Idaho City. A smaller selection (~16 flavors/ incl sorbet, yogurt and regular ice cream). Only complaint was that two flavors our group wanted weren’t able to be scooped because they were too cold/hard and flavor cards weren’t always posted.

Really fun flavor options, good portions, quality ice cream. Lovely patio to sit out on as well! A nice respite on a road trip.

Ice cream has freezer burn and they don’t make their own cones anymore. Used to be amazing!

New ownership, quick service with a smile, ice cream was better than most you get at the store with plenty of flavor options.

The service was good and the ice cream was cold. I think they’re missing out on making money! Not that’s what it’s all about but I was prepared to drop some coin and there wasn’t anything to buy! No gifts. Some dime candy but wish there were more to choose from. Hope next time we come in there are some more options to choose from.
