We were working in the area and decided to have pizza. Immediately, Saporito’s came up on the Google search with 4.7 out of 5 star rating. The description on the Saporito’s website reads “Homemade” which caught out attention. We drove 25 minutes to try it. Looks are deceiving! It’s a small restaurant next to the Amtrack. We decided to try one of their specials. 16″ Pizza, wings and a 2 ltr of Pop. We also added two salads.

This is my favorite pizza in the Freeport/Lena area. I can’t say enough for the taste and quality. The cheese is always slightly browned on top how I like it. Quality ingredients and plenty of them. I just love their sausage and they don’t skimp with it.
