The BEST!! we stopped here on a whim for dinner and I am so glad we did. The pasta alla vodka was freaking amazing. I think it’s the best pasta I have ever had. Ever. My mom got the spinach ravioli and holy moly it was also just as incredible. Tim was our server and he was fantastic. He is genuinely happy to be there and was very knowledgeable about the menu. He made a few recommendations and it did sway my choice which I am grateful for because MAN it was amazing. You have to try this place.

Best pasta in Austin hands down. Keep coming back for the Rigatoni Alla Vodka, it’s awesome. Also recommend the fettuccine and chicken parm.

The prices have gone up a bit but it’s totally worth it, the portions are generous and they give you a ton of free bread. We also ask for marinara with the bread and they’ve never charged us for it.

Service is also awesome, they’re all super nice, knowledgeable about allergies, etc.

First off this place is a 5 star end of story. Walked in to be greeted like family by ALL staff. Pablo was our waiter. 10 stars!! Sat very nicely. The atmosphere is super chill, easy to converse with guests, such a cute place. My family and I ordered a plethora of food to try it all. We started with the meatballs, seafood stuffed mushrooms, and the Burrata Caprice. They all knocked our socks off. Our main courses were Gnocchetti creamy avocado pesto, Rigatoni alla Vodka, Fettuccine Alfredo with vegetables, Seafood bisque, and a pair of side salads. Not enough to say about EVERYTHING and everyone here. We were all completely impressed. Next time in Austin we will make sure to stop here again.

Food is made from scratch! We had the Rigatoni ala Vodka and the Chicken Parm! They were both extremely delicious! Big portions. We ended dinner with their Tiramisu! So good!

I quite literally stumbled upon this restaurant by mistake, and so glad I did! My brother-in-law, and my mother-in-law both loved it as well. I got the fettuccine Alfredo with chicken, my brother-in-law got the rigatoni, and my mother-in-law got the gnocchi pasta with pesto.

Everything arrived fairly quickly, with a unique bread and oil and vinegar sauce as well, and the service was absolutely fantastic!

The atmosphere is pleasant, very relaxed, and I would totally come here again. Love the staff here!

Delicious Pasta in Downtown Austin!

We had an amazing dinner at Sapori Italian Roots in Austin! The handmade pasta was the absolute highlight—fresh, delicate, and cooked to perfection. The sauces were flavorful and balanced, enhancing the pasta without ever overpowering it.

The service was just as memorable—friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming from start to finish. Every dish we tried tasted thoughtful and authentic.

If you’re craving authentic Italian food with heart and hospitality, Sapori is definitely worth a visit.

I think 4.5 stars would be more appropriate. We had dinner at this location for the first time, and the food was incredible, freshly made, and really hit the spot. The staff were super friendly, polite and accommodating. However, the place was a bit loud, crammed and you really had to make sure you don’t bump into someone or something when navigating. In addition, some part of the floor near the kitchen was very slippery and I almost fell when I was heading to the restroom. I think management can improve upon these things. Overall I do recommend this place, but I highly suggest you be careful when walking around and also please make a reservation!

Tried their Rigatoni alla vodka and it was absolutely delicious. It was so good that I just had to try their Tiramisu (was too full to have it on site so I got it to go and it was delicious too when I had it few hours later). Service was friendly. The inside is much better than the outside so don’t judge it from the outside.

Price guide (as of Oct 2025):
Rigatoni alla vodka $19.50
Pinot noir $13
Tiramisu $7
Tax $3.27

Had lunch at Sapori Italian Restaurant in downtown Austin and it was such a good surprise. Cozy little place with a great view of the city and that classic Italian vibe, the sign says “Eat pasta, live longer” and honestly, they might be right.
I tried the lasagna and it was amazing, rich, cheesy, perfectly baked, and full of flavor. You can tell it’s made from scratch with care. The staff were super kind and the atmosphere felt calm and warm, perfect for a solo meal or a relaxed lunch with friends.
Definitely one of my favorite spots in Austin so far. Simple, authentic, and full of heart.
