Dinner with party of three. It was a freezing week night around 8pm. Establishment was at 30% occupancy. Dining area was warm, bright and clean. Staff were friendly, informative and helpful with answering all of our menu questions. As a group, we were all experimenting with Indian cuisine. We found an extensive menu with endless vegetarian options and protein choices. We enjoyed cauliflower, chickpea, shrimp, fish, chicken and lamb dishes. The different naan breads were tasty, warm and savory. We were are sharing our appetizers and entrees. The lassi drinks were delicious. We never made it to desserts as we were all stuffed. Consensus as a group was 5/5. We are eager to return for round two. Come and enjoy!

The food was excellent — we ordered chicken momos, Amritsari fish, chicken triple Schezwan fried rice, mixed grill, hot & sour soup, sweet corn chicken soup, and mango lassi.We absolutely loved the Amritsari fish and triple Schezwan fried rice — both were flavorful and perfectly cooked. The ambience is great, cozy, and perfect for a casual night out or a special occasion. We started with the Masala Papad, which was perfectly crispy and topped with a delightful mix of tangy onions, tomatoes, and spices. It was the perfect appetizer to set the tone for the meal.
Next, I tried the Paneer Tiranga, and it was a showstopper! The presentation was beautiful, and the paneer was cooked to perfection—so soft and flavorful. The vibrant colors of the dish truly represented the richness of Indian cuisine.
To top it all off, we indulged in the Triple Schezwan Rice. It was bursting with flavor and had just the right amount of spice. The combination of textures and the freshness of the vegetables made it the ideal accompaniment to our meal.

Sankalp is a good place if you’re going for appetizers or tandoori items, but I’d avoid the Chinese dishes and momos. Naans and curry are quite good. If they could improve consistency across the menu, this place could easily become a go-to spot.

Not to mention, the restaurant is the most gorgeous and well thought out Indian restaurant I’ve ever been to – beautiful marble floors, industrial open ceiling and comfortable chairs. I’ve visited almost every Indian restaurant in Edison, nothing is as beautiful as this Sankalp.
The prices are higher than competitors in the area and the quantity of the Paneer Butter Masala seemed less than expected.
Sankalp Indian Cuisine is an international name and we were super excited to have one open up near us. I’d definitely recommend trying their food at least once!

absolutely incredible food. every single bite was delicious. we got an assortment of dishes and just munched our way through. we loved every single thing we got. i keep thinking about the tandoori shrimp. it was sooooo good. can’t wait to go back.

Food was delicious very good and very fresh was charged a 9.89 fee for large party of 5 or more when it was only me and one person and we got some extra food to go for people at home will update review if owners make it right as it doesnt make sense to charge a large party fee on 2 guests when the charge says 5 or more people

We ordered two traditional masala dosa with spread inside, first they came after waiting 30 mins with no spread inside and when we complained service guy for that we didn’t ordered like that and he argued us “you did it like that”. After arguing for a minute I told em that I wanna pay for the rest of the food and they can take back these so called dosas and then he agreed to bring back new ones, the new ones were burnt and too crispy and we were not able to eat.
Then I asked for the bill and the guy was giving me strange looks while paying em.
Never coming back here.
If you really want to enjoy the dosa folks try “amma’s South Indian” you will not be pissed like i am today.

I just had catering from Sankalp Restaurant and it was absolutely outstanding! The food was bursting with authentic flavors, super fresh, and every single guest raved about it—you can genuinely tell they cook with real passion and top-quality ingredients. From the moment I placed the order, the team was friendly, patient, and incredibly helpful, walking me through everything and making the whole process completely hassle-free. Their warmth and professionalism really made the experience special. Hands down one of the best catering experiences I’ve had—I’ll definitely be ordering again and can’t recommend Sankalp highly enough!
