All around great experience. The food was done in a timely manner, and the waiting area was buzzing with friendly people! The shrimp was cooked perfectly, and the po boy itself was very good. Sweet tea is a little sweet, according to some people, but hey that’s how we like it in the south! Overall, I was satisfied with my order and definitely plan on eating there again.

Two Poboy Express locations totally different experiences. Ocean Springs vs Hattiesburg. Ocean Springs 5 stars across the board. Hattiesburg gets 3 stars. Just ok. Sandwiches not hot or pressed. I was really excited to see a Poboy Express in Hattiesburg where we are looking for a home, and hoping for that Gulf Coast taste and experience. But we will have to keep on looking.

I was so disappointed because we frequent the Ocean Springs location and they are superb! The shrimp in my poboy was barely warm and my bread didn’t feel toasted. My husband’s muffaletta was not “smash-toasted” and not warmed throughout. It felt like we visited a Subway store….

Very disappointed after reading the reviews. I ordered the gravy cheese fries, steak bomb and hammerhead. THE GRAVY HAS NO TASTE. The ham and turkey looked like it came out of a pack from the grocery store, the cheap kind. However, the Philly meat was very good, I could taste something like Worcestershire sauce in it… really good. Prices are awesome though. And my food came out quick.

Eaten here before, but today was different! Philly steak + 30 minutes = terrible stomach pain AKA food poisoning. When the men’s room doesn’t have hand soap I worry what else may be lax. In fairness, I’ve eaten here many times over the years and this is a first. But it was bad enough that it will be my last.

This place has the best poboy around. I always get the steak bomb. It has tender steak, shrimp and lots of other veggies that are sautéed to perfection. Top it with a side of their comeback dressing and fries and you have a meal that will not leave you hungry or disappointed. The bread is very good and the service is great. It is inside a gas station so maps may take you a little off the actual location. Look for the gas station on the corner and poboy express will be on the left portion of the station.

I grew up eating at the original PoBoy Express in Ocean Springs, MS. We were in Hattiesburg for a function and had to go! The food was just as good, as always, and the staff was pleasant! I got the Steakbomb with po-taters because that’s all I ever get there. My daughter got the same. My son got the pepperoni special. My son gave it a 9/10 which is incredible, considering he usually eats a grilled cheese and Doritos everywhere we go. If you’re close to a PoBoy Express, you owe it to yourself to go!
