We had such high hopes for this place, but unfortunately they have fallen short since our first visit. The initial experience was great- it was a hidden gem. The burger was fresh, juicy, and bursting with flavor. We were raving about it and couldn’t wait to come back.
The second visit though, was a letdown. The burger was so aggressively salty. It hit like a tidal wave of the Dead Sea. Making matters worse, we hyped it up so much, that we ordered one for my mom too-only to be embarrassed when it turned out to be just as bad. Still we gave them the benefit of the doubt. Everyone has an off day, right?
Unfortunately, today’s experience was the final straw. The burger looked like it had given up on life. The lettuce was skimpy, brown, wilted and included some thick white chunks of lettuce that is near the core. The meat was once again oversalted and dry. I’ve had chewier and juicer jerky.
The service mirrored the food-lifeless, dry and detached. The employee who attended me had the warmth and enthusiasm of a desert cactus. A big difference to the friendly experiences we previously had from the other employee.
Needless to say, we won’t be returning.

Although they are not always accurate because people have different expectations, most of the negative comments were consistent regarding bad service & greasy burgers. In this case, I must say that they were wrong. The service was good. They were friendly & we didn’t wait long. We loved the fries & yes the burgers were greasy, but it gave them their flavor. It was a good size burger with plenty of veggies. We will definitely come back.

I recently visited Sandy’s Burger Stand, and I was really impressed with how fast and punctual the service was. My order was ready in no time, which is always a plus when you’re craving a good burger. I also noticed the owner himself was cooking, which shows the level of care he puts into his food. The staff was friendly and efficient, especially the young lady at the window who greeted me with a smile and got my order to me quickly. It’s clear that they care about both the quality of their food and customer experience. Definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to!

The burgers were really good and had the old-fashioned burger taste, the food is made to order and you can taste the freshness. The staff was super friendly and I like that you can eat outside. The hotdog was not just a regular hotdog, but it was sausage, and it was really good. Loved the chili they used, and the strawberry shake hit the spot.

I decided to try Sandy’s cause I’ve had read some reviews where it said it was really good! And it disappointment me, I will not go again tbh. The person attending not the best customer services skills. The meat was burned and salty, the fries were burned and you could tell that the oil was very old, it had a really nasty taste. I ordered some chilli cheese fries that when I arrived home I saw they had no cheese! Drinks were not cold either. Just not going again. I’m glad if anyone else had a good experience but not me.

Burger was a hot mess! Got the onion burger and it was the most greasiest burger I’ve ever had. Ordered, drove home (2min) decided to eat it in the drive way and the bun was soggy and couldn’t even hold the burger together. Fries are good though.

First time trying Sandy’s Diner and really enjoyed it. My friend said she preferred the cheeseburger over Whataburger. Fries were soo good, even better dipped in the tartar sauce. I’d never tried a shrimp roll so nothing to compare it to, but the warm bolio loaded with a shrimp salad type thing was good. Definitely coming back. Hard to feed two people for under $20 these days!

Came here on Friday the17th closed, came back on Sunday the19th no shrimp or fish. Was told by the younger guy working today the only thing available was burgers or hotdogs. This guy was not very friendly, helpful, or interested in giving us any decent service. My wife ordered a patty melt. Burger was dried out with slimy lettuce and tomatoes. Also had ketchup, pickles, mayo and only one ring of raw onion on a hard, dried out bun. Nothing like a patty melt at all. Other burger was the same. We have always bragged about how good this place was to everyone. We have always gotten good service from the owner and his son. The guy that took our order said he would wave at us when the order was ready and shut the screen on us. Today was a waste of $30. I should have taken a photo.

Something went very wrong here. The passion that was there before has been taken away. Soggy bread and burgers that have been charred to a crisp. Waiting 45 minutes and paying almost 40 dollars for this? At least the employees are getting a dollar a minute i guess. Horrible spot. Do NOT waste your time or money here.

Thr fish sandwich keeps me coming back for more. Its an absolute monster so I only order it if I am super hungry.
Everything on this sandwich is fresh. The breading is crispy and they offer a variety of sauces. (Try the Kings sauce). Service is friendly so long as you dont talk to the cook, i think there’s a reason she doesn’t take orders.
The older gentlemen is an absolute gem. He is so friendly!
Please don’t hit this place up if you are in a huge hurry. They are a mom and pop shop. Let the food take the time it needs.

Update!!! So sad to report the service has become unpredictable. Sometimes your food will be totally wrong and cold. Sometimes it will be right. Not sure i will return as both my husband and I had an order that was wrong. I let alot of things slide…but i mean…We both ordered extra tartar sauce and both got zero tartar sauce. Seems wrong to serve a beautiful fish sammy with no tartar sauce. And my combo had no fries. Was looking forward to this all week. Totally bummed.

Brutally Honest
Soooo Delicious! I usually get the shrimp but they ran out. That’s expected because the shrimp is always good. This is my first time trying the fried Bass fillet. I’m hooked . Son and Father duo that I can definitely support ❤️. I will be back for the shrimp Tuesday afternoon
